I forgot to say in my earlier post that I also like a lot of Underground Hip-hop, like Atmosphere and Brother Ali, along with indie rock. My favorite band would have to be the band Cloud Cult.

Yeah but still no sound sometimes. when there is sound i have to mess with it for it to work and it's annoying so i just don't even bother.
I've gone from "probably J-Pop" to "definitely J-Pop." I currently own 3 albums, am getting 2 for my birthday, have 1 pre-ordered, and have 7 in my saved items queue on CDJapan for when I next have some disposable money. If miwa releases a debut album before or around Christmas, that's going to be 8 saved items. And some decidedly unsubtle hinting at what would make an AWESOME gift.
I think this is what they call 'opening the floodgates,' only started listening to J-Pop properly like a month or two ago (before I just didn't have much of an interest in music at all), so I've kinda got a lot of catching up to do last.fm is brilliant but oh god my poor wallet

Which, Utada The Best or Singles Collection Vol. 2? No, you must order all of her albums or suffer a terrible fate. I really want to arrest someone k. But in all seriousness, some of her best songs weren't ever released as singles.
Oh, and her English music is way different from her Japanese work, and you probably won't like it. Don't get Utada The Best if you're in a real J-Pop mode. (That said, Exodus is mind-blowingly good, just it takes you 4 years to actually "get it". Until then you hate its guts. She's a genius, I tell you!)
