Topic: Evil Characters in Gaming Discussion

Thought this would make for an interesting discussion, yet too specific of a topic for the chit-chat thread. Who are the most evil characters in gaming?

NOTE: Spoilers should probably be kept under the spoiler tag for major story-driven games

The dog from duckhunt is pretty evil.

I second that. He even laughs at you if you fail.

And the worst part? You can't exact revenge by shooting him.

Another evil character? I'd argue that Agitha from Twilight Princess is secretly evil.

"I know you have bugs...."

And she's always so calm. Disturbingly calm...

And then we have Link, who will climb a tower and shoot everyone with his bow and arrows someday. He seems quiet and happy, but he's always been used and forced to do everyone errands. There is only so much a man can take...

He's good now, but one day he won't be able to take it anymore and he'll make Ganondorf pee his pants ... That day he'll become Hyrule's greatest villain.

Oh sorry, lol. I was forgeting the topic. I suggest the pokemon professors. Old or not or wathever their reasons are, they send a 10 year old boy (or girl) to do their work. That work means thay the kid has to find the most dangerous creatures and even face the mafia on the way! And even worse... they stay to flirt with the kid's mom while he's away. Pure evil.

Mephiles anyone?

He is arguably one of the best villains in video game history. He desires the pain and suffering of others and will go for any lengths just to find power to do that, like fusing with Iblis. He is also pretty manipulative as he tries to trick other characters into fighting eachother and uses lies to get what he wants. His powers are even badass: controlling shadows, summoning beasts of darkness, etc. He has a creepy theme to him:

Cosmic Clone from the Galaxy games. The only reason he exists is to chase Mario and kill him. That's pretty evil.

From Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney there's Kristoph Gavin. He makes Phoenix lose his badge, just because Phoenix took a case Kristoph wanted to take.

Kirby.

Don't forget that high-pitched, evil, annoying laugh. Ugh.

Let's not forget this character from the Ace Attorney series:

Really well-written character, but man is Dahlia evil. Really pleasing when she gets what's coming for her.

Well, the Shroobs are pretty messed up in Mario & Luigi Partners in Time. How many other villains use people's life force/souls for rocket fuel, blast the hell out of towns on Christmas and try and kill toddlers? That's pretty dark for a Nintendo game.

Cipher are rather evil in the Pokemon Colosseum games as well. Seriously, they literally turn Pokemon into evil weapons via technology and try and kill pretty much any that attempts to stop them.

I agree that Mephiles is really evil. I would also say Dr. Eggman Nega, for capturing cute, little innocent Chao, and wanting to feed them to an inter-dimensional monster!!
