This being a Joss Whedon joint is the main reason why I'm allowing it to be a bit shaky for the first season. Buffy season six was terrible beyond the stuff dealing with the Master and it didn't get better till Season 2 (season 3 is the best BTW). Angel also didn't get better until after it got over the whole Batman lite phase of the first half of season 1 and it opened up the cast with Wesley and Gunn.
I want to see AIM bucketheads on screen and a Whedon show is probably the closet were going to get. I've only read one comic with the Power Broke so it could be cool. My current guess is that its going to turn out that the Rising Tide is the current season's big bad and Skye is on the run from them. I'm hoping we get one Marvel U hero proper and hopefully its someone obscure or won't be done in film like the Punisher.

Whoops forgot to post this. Marvel is apparently working on a Agent Carter TV series after the One shot with Iron Man 3 was well received. In this case it would a period piece spin off of Agents of Shield going more into the transformation of the OSI (or whatever the agency was in Cap) to SHIELD.

New ongoing She-Hulk series confirmed for February 2014 as a part of the All-New Marvel NOW!, written by Charles Soule and drawn by Javier Pulido. Have heard great things from Soule; his current Swamp Thing run is said to be pretty amazing. Loved the issues of Hawkeye that have been drawn by Pulido, though, the annual wasn't his best work. The approach they're taking with the series is rather interesting: doing short, 3-issue arcs, similar to Hawkeye.
Speaking of the All-New Marvel NOW!, a series of teaser images similar to last year's Marvel NOW! teasers have began to pop up. The most interesting of the recent batch is the one that simply states "RAD!" in large, silver letters. Could this be a new ongoing Silver Surfer series? All will be revealed at Marvel's A-NMN panel at NYCC this October.

The two to three arc format is similar to what he's been doing on Swamp Thing and is going to do on Superman/Wonder Woman. If it means anything than his Swamp Thing is the best run thus far just under the Alan Moore work .

Anyone else catch tonight's episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.?
I thought it was a good episode. Team's learning to bond, May got to show off how awesome she is, great explanation of some of the more technical terms (when referring to the Teseract, or however it's spelled), and an appearance by Samuel L. Jackson (as Nick Fury, of course)!
Look's like Skye is operating behind their backs though, albiet she looks to have some reservations about doing so.

I was glad to see Samuel Jackson even if its a small apperance here and there. As for Skye I like the mystery behind her actions but not to sure about either the character or her lines. For me she seems to be the weak link but its early in the show so ill give it some time. Next weeks episode might change my mind.
Cornyness went away a little bit but still going to predictable for me. Seen it before type vibe. It really needs to stand out more!

I watched the first episode of Agents of Shield last night. I'm hoping to watch the second tonight so I can get caught up before Tuesday comes around. I have really high hopes for this show! I am loving every bit of it. It all seriousness though. From what I saw from the 1st episode, it is basically Marvel's spin on CSI. Which is not at all a bad thing, I just noticed the formula to it.

Thor & Captain America have both returned to Netflix instant. (Decided to watch CA tonight, since it's one of my favorites)
I hope they eventually add Iron Man 2 & The Incredible Hulk. It's been a couple years since I've seen either of those.

@RR529 They show Iron Man 2 all the time on FX. Seems like I've seen it about 15 times now! Not sure if you have cable or not though! I have all the Marvel movies on my DVR and or Bluray.

I found Skye being what appears to be a double agent predictable. You already know the story they're going to play out.
-Skye is double agent
-She betrays the team
-She remembers she loves her new family and the rising Tide is actually evil. (I hope not)
-She rejoins the team and one half of FitzSimmions dies.
Next week's episode with Gravton seems to be the one that will finally get things started.

@RR529: They had Iron Man 2 for awhile on stream. Along with Thor and Captain America they also have Avengers for stream.

@SpoonyTech, Yeah, I have cable, but I can never seem to catch IM2 when they show it (don't have DVR feature). I seem to be able to catch the first IM all the time though, lol.
@Tasuki, I've known about Avengers (I actually watched it shortly after it was added earlier this year), but I thought that Thor & CA were removed when they first added Avengers, which is why I was surprised to see them back. (I also remember watching IM2 on the service, but that's been over a year ago, & I don't think they have it anymore).
Thanks for the responses.

@RR529: I dont remember them removing Thor or Captain even with Avengers added to the list. I do remember them having both Ironmen movies at one point but now they dont which doesn't make sense I guess its a studio thing. Also they have never had The Incredible Hulk on stream which is odd too.

Thoughts on tonight's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D?
It was a pretty decent episode, with some pretty good effects. It was mostly the "is Skye reliable & trustworthy" episode, though.
The little tidbit at the end was cool, though (if that doesn't scream "upcoming super villain", I don't know what does, lol).
Not nearly enough May, though.

Not sure how they're going to do the Supervillian becuase in the comic Gravaton is a Omega Level avengers threat. Still really good episoide and like you aid it was the is Skye a goodfit. Main problem with the show is that by this time all the other wheadon shows had its plot for the rest of the season.
Plus I hate how on the nose the writing is in regards that Coulson is either a clone, a LMD, or the Vision.

I watched X-Men tonight on Spike!
I haven't seen it since it originally came out, & I don't particularly remember anything about it, so it was like watching it for the first time.
It was pretty good, although the special effects are definitely showing their age (heck, Toad almost looked like something out of a made for TV program), which was made more apparent since it wasn't made for the HD age. Still a good movie, though.

Glad that Peter David is still doing the X-Factor thing. I was a bit worried when the word of the new X-Factor was first floating around, but as long as it's PAD, it'll be gold. And though I'll miss Madrox and Layla, I could not be happier that Monet is gone. I found her so annoying.
And lol at Marvel's ability to spoil current storylines — X-23 joining the All New X-Men, guess she survives Avengers Arena! And meanwhile, obviously the original X-Men aren't being sent back to the past at the conclusion of the current crossover! Lol.
Granted, neither of those two tidbits is unexpected, but I always find it funny how comic teasers and solicits have an exceptional ability to spoil ongoing storylines. Which is why I tend to stay away from most comic news (though I never really mind spoilers in general).
She-Ra is awesome. If you believe otherwise, you are clearly wrong. Also, Lindsey Stirling. Because violin awesomeness.

The big two don't seem to care about spoiling storylines. I hate the fact we knew Damien would die in Batman Inc a week before it happened, and the twist in this week's Infinty would have been alot cooler if Marvel didn't plaster the marketing for Inhunamity everywhere.
More books annnounced
Avengers World by Hickman and Spence, seems to be Justice League Unlimited for the Avengers. Still think the title and Idea is self indulgent.
Loki Agent of Asgard kind of spoils Young Avengers. Loki is popular makes sense to do this
Avengers Undercover is the follow up to Avengers Arena. Not the biggest fan of the book but it has its defenders.
Black Windows Announced. This intrests me if Phil Noto is doing the art.
-New Marvel point one in January
-Next Avengers AI arc will go to the future probably to combat Justice League 3000
-Ales Jot is writing Secert Avengers Next year
-Uncanny Avengers going into its third arc
