You know, I actually think he was. He added the wit to the reputation of Batman, something that's been almost completely lost in recen years. Sure, it was obviously the cheesiest attempt at portraying the Dark Knight, but it was humorous and I feel that was intended. I wish Robin actually wore pants though. .-.

Alot of people would disagree, but I think I agree with you.
I wasn't a fan of Ledger honestly, but I think he did a great job in the Dark Knight. He was a different kind of Joker, but I think it was fantastic.

Yes by far Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill were the best voice. No one will ever, ever have a better joker voice than Hamill and his hysterically sadistic laugh!
