I've played videogames nearly once a day since I was 5. I see no reason to just completely stop. That would be like somebody converting to Amish. Even when I'm 80 years old I'll still be playing videogames. Also by only playing games from one era you're depriving yourself of quite alot of great games.

Well, it kind of is an addiction, for some people. And no, I've never even considered it. It's kind of like asking someone if they ever considered "quitting" watching movies. There's no good reason for me to quit.

What's wrong with being addicted to videogames? Has anyone ever gone to jail for videogame addiction? It's not the same as a drug addiction. As long as it doesn't interfere with your work or family life there's no reason to stop.
