I have.
I bought a new copy of Final Fantasy II for the PSP along with an used copy of Final Fantasy I for the PSP. I have been playing Final Fantasy I for days, and I finally decided to try Final Fantasy II. So, I opened the case, and there was no game in the case. It was GameStop, go figure. Has something similar happened to you? I'm currently very pissed. Share you thoughts here.

Yep, but it wasn't a game. It was a Who CD. There was nothing inside the darned jewel case.

I took it back later that day (maybe the next day) and they swapped it out for me. I was very much afraid they'd give me a hard time about it, but, fortunately, they didn't seem to give a crap whether or not I was telling the truth.

Hopefully they won't give you much guff.

Nope, never happened to me. My dad bought a Scooby Doo DVD from the 5 dollar rack in Wal-Mart, when he got it home there was an AOL internet trial disk in it.

Never happened to me. But one time at McDonalds, I ordered a kids meal when I was younger, and there was NO BURGER! I actually cried, then I went back to get it. It didn't even taste that good, thats why I now go to Burger King!

Whenever Resident Evil movie first came out, I bought it. But I got home and found out that there was no movie. Wal Mart wouldn't take it back. It felt like a big middle finger to me.

When I bought... I think it was Opoona. I got home, went to try the game out... The girl at Gamestop had grabbed the wrong disc or something. It was Octomania, whatever the **** that is. I went right back there and she swapped it out for the right game without giving me any trouble over it though.

When I was but a wee child my parents got me Pokemon Crystal for christmas. I woke up had one look at the shiny new box on my bed and my heart soared. However when I opened it and discovered there was no game in the box my heart had an engine failure and smashed into the ground in a fiery wreck.
Another instance I went to McDonalds, got my McValue meal and headed off to the station where I opened my meal only to discover there was no meat in the cheeseburger! I have never forgiven them.

One time I went to GameStop and I was going to buy Donkey Konga, but they couldn't find the disc. Oh yeah, to anyone that's complaining about McDonalds or Burger King, I think there's been about 10 times where I got home with no burger. One time they gave we 3 chicken strips on a bun with lettuce and tomato when I ordered a hamburger!

Not sure if this one counts for anything but one time my brother ordered a burger from McDonalds and took a bite into a raw hamburger. Not quite sure how they pulled that one off.

As for the new game, no, the Gamestop where I live has a good record of giving me the games I want.

My dad bought a copy of X-Men Legends 2 for PSP. It was to be a birthday gift for my brother. Fortunately, my family had a long-standing habit of opening gifts to check them ahead of time. There was no game inside, even though it was a sealed game from Best Buy. He took it back and surprisingly, had no trouble getting a replacement. Since then, I have always made a personal habit to open everything before leaving the store. This was further reenforced when a customer at GameStop complained that she learned a game wasn't in the box in the PARKING LOT of Walmart, but they made a huge fuss about getting it dealt with and wasted an hour of her time. She was very grateful I'm more careful than to let that happen.

Mistakes do happen at GameStop generally speaking, though...we're only human, y'know? Please don't hold it against us in general. I wouldn't blame you holding it against a repeat offender employee, though. That just looks suspicious...

Not with games, but I had it with a DVD once. Funny thing is, it was sealed and all. But I got a new dvd without to much trouble and that one wasn't empty.
