@epicdude12302 Dude, seriously I thought the same thing. Same with the Basketball incident. Not one person was like.. uhhh, yeah that guys Spider-Man. lol. Moments like that will practically ruin any movie for me, especially if I'm supposed to take them seriously.. which I do with superhero movies. It's not funny, it's stupid, corny, and takes me out of the movie immediately. I wish it didn't but it does.

A scene in the Amazing Spider-man where Peter throws an American Football and it hits and dents a field goal while a ton of players watch! Seriously? Nobody, even questioned that in the slightest bit?

TASM has a way worse moment. When all the cranes just conveniently move during the final scene. Whats wrong with buildings? How did the whole city react so quickly with perfectly placed cranes? So many things wrong.

@ Everyone saying the Spider-man dance scene. IT'S COMIC RELIEF. ITS SUPPOSED TO BE STUPIDLY FUNNY. JUST LIKE THE RAINDROPS KEEP FALLING ON MY HEAD SCENE IN SPIDEY 2

What's embarassing about it. Emo Peter doing the Saturday Night Fever strut? Maybe embarassing to him, but I found it quite funny.

Exactly. That whole segment is just.... gah. I have to make sure no one is going to walk in on me while it's playing. It's embarrassing to watch in general, let alone have someone walk in and see you watching it.

Oh yeah that guy in Prometheus goes from "I'M SCARED" to "OH LOOK A NEW THING LETS TOUCH IT. Oops I died." in less than an scene. It's kinda funny.

Yeah, the second-hand embarrassment it generates is too strong.

TASM has several issues, but why you're picking them all out and defending the crap heap that was SM3 is beyond me.

So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

Because TASM was a bad and unenjoyable movie. SM3 is an enjoyable movie that had many problems. Also, it royally pisses me off when people say something as insignificant as comic relief they dislike "ruined a movie/franchise". People do it with Jar-Jar Binks too.

I mean really? Did a character there to make kids laugh really ruin a whole film for you? I suppose threepio's witty comic relief is what made the original trilogy so great right? It obscures actual problems that people can have a discussion about, like bad script, often stiff acting, confusing plot points, etc.

TASM wasn't so bad. Iron-man 3 on the other hand... the only good thing about this movie I can say was the first act, the rest is just dumb or idiotic.

Ok, I know, and it makes the movie collapse on itself (not that the movie didn't suck anyway). In Hunger Games: Catching Fire, there are these guys talking about how there will be revlots and whatnot if they will make anniversary Hunger Game tournament etc... They knew there will be consequences and revolts. And yet everyone is SURPRISED that there are revolts and people going crazy. In the first movie, it would be the ear thing - not only they screwed up the side, but also she didn't care about it Like it was nothing.

Bay's Transformers - rubick's cubes, socks and robot balls. Do I have to say more?

But the Dark Knight Rises takes the cake - not only the chick playing Catwoman was ugly as hell, but her acting was so hammy and god awful she makes Garfield from TASM the academy award actor. Not only she was utterly pointless to the story (same with Tanya), but worst, THE DUMBEST thing in this movie was the ending. I mean, not only barely anyone recognizes Wayne, but it's so soapy it's cringe worthy. The last movie with worthless "cliffhanger" that ruined every single moment of awesome.

I would also say Game of Thrones/Songs of Ice and Fire, but there is no movie, only tv show that I don't watch, but I can only say I could write a whole book about how morronic it is.

Opening Credits to end credits. However if I have to narrow it down a bit more, the part where hulk reveals how he can transform at will

Anne Hathaway is ugly?! She's one of the hottest actors in Hollywood. And I loved TDKR, not as good at TDK, but definitely better than BB.

I was under the impression that this thread was about dumb scenes, not about "lemme tell you why I dislike this movie".

I'd say SM3 is the most accurate representation of black suit Spidey we've ever gotten. The 1994 cartoon and Spectacular try, but they ultimately fail to give it enough time.

And to be clear, I'm not including the dance scene. Why? Because it was comic relief. Letting your thoughts on comic relief get in your evaluation of a non-comedic film just clouds your judgement.

But SM3 successfully shows a slow transition for Peter from who he is before and after the black suit, and how the different factors in his life affect him. He stops becoming an honest and kind character and becomes a jerk to everyone, kind of like Andrew Garfields Peter Parker .

You might be the only person who watched the Avengers and felt that moment was dumb. What was bad about that? I don't get it....

There have been so many, but my vote will go to the scene in Independence Day when the alien ship crashes in the sand, Will Smith crawls aboard, then punches the alien in the face and says "Welcome to Earth!". I remember seeing that in a packed movie theater as a kid and when that moment happened, myself and some other guy across the room burst out in laughter. I like to believe that he was, like me, laughing at the ridiculousness of it.

While I don't dislike Iron Man 3, I'm not coy to admit that Tony Stark revealing his address to the whole world (even the terrorists) on the news was a pretty stupid move.
