Off the top of my head (this is by no means a complete list, just the games that come to mind).

Current exclusives: Uncharted: Golden Abyss. Soul Sacrifice. Freedom Wars. Toukiden. The Caligula Effect. Bullet Girls 1 & 2. Demon Gaze. Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines. Persona 4: Dancing All Night. Corpse Party: Blood Drive. LittleBigPlanet Vita. Drive Girls.

Exclusives that were ported to other platforms over time (in the West): Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc. Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls. Criminal Girls. Wipeout 2048. Moe Chronicle. Monster Monpiece.

Exclusive updated releases of older games: Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention; Disgaea 4: A Promise Revisited; Persona 4 Golden. Muramasa: Rebirth. Ys: Memories of Celceta.

@Ralizah I've heard of the games in sections 2 and 3, but didn't know about half of the current exclusives (kinda says something about how the Vita was marketed, that or they're very niche games). I swear the Persona 4 dancing game was released on other consoles although that might have been a sequel. As a side note, out of all those games Ys: Memories of Celceta is the only one I really wanna play.

I don't refuse to buy a game because of lack of Japanese audio, if I want it with said audio I can always import the Japanese release.

If I want a game, I don't skip it. I buy the release I want.

@Snaplocket The Vita's library has always been very niche, and the system never caught on in the West, so very few of its games are advertised. They don't need to be: they only sell to a cult following of hardcore Vita fans who are internet savvy and don't rely on traditional advertising to hear about games they're interested in.

It is what it is. I feel the same way about Western AAA multiplats that most people feel about niche anime games on the Vita: they're not on my radar, and I don't care about them one way or another. So, for someone like me who is largely alienated from the gaming mainstream, the Vita is a good system to own.

@Ralizah Hey I can relate to that. I couldn't care less about Uncharted or whatever big Sony release is coming out but I can't wait for YS VIII and Danganronpa v3.

@Snaplocket Sony is doing a good job of appealing to a variety of demographics with the PS4. The only reason I'm not gaga over it is that I'm not into home console gaming in general. That is, I like home console-style games, but not being tethered to a TV. Which is why I love my Switch so much.

@Ralizah Too bad they abandoned the PS Vita so quickly, even the Wii U got at least 4 years of support before Nintendo put all their resources into the 3ds and Switch. The PS Vita is a quality handheld but it was doomed from basically day one thanks to bad marketing, bad timing, and overpriced memory cards.

@Snaplocket It has done better for itself than the Wii U, though. Even though Sony withdrew support, Japanese third parties and indies have kept it alive. I've mentioned this elsewhere, but games on it seem to have a decent attach rate thanks to its hardcore cult following buying pretty much every new release on it, which ensures a continual stream of new releases. The party is only going to end when and if the Japanese third parties currently developing for it start making games for Switch/PS4 instead.

It says somewhere online the Vita sold 10.5 million so far. I don't think this is going to be as successful for Sony as the Wii U was for Nintendo. The Wii U had over a dozen million plus sellers and even the ones that weren't did well enough to satisfy Nintendo.

@Snaplocket Vita already passed 15 million I think. Still ahead of the Wii U

Octane

Snaplocket

@Octane Where'd you get that figure? Besides the Vita only had about five games that managed to hit the 1 million sold mark and NONE that passed the 2 million sold mark. As such, I'm still fairly confident that the Wii U was more successful (at least, in terms of software sales) overall.

@Snaplocket Those are safe estimates. Sony doesn't report numbers for the Vita I think. Vita is 15.6 million according to VGChartz. 10.5 million figure was from 2015, two years ago, so around 15 million is believable.

Octane

Snaplocket

@Octane That doesn't change the fact that Vita had very few major sellers for Sony.

Any reason's a good reason to skip out on a game. Gives you more time to live life and soak up vitalizing rays from that cute red dot up in the sky.

@SMEXIZELDAMAN videogames are better than life. Life is immensely overrated, often it is really unpleasant. Even mediocre games are better than life and you don't even need to buy a new game, there are already plenty of games good enough to be played again and again. However, there can't be many reason valid enough to skip on a game that you really like unless it has some REALLY bad bugs and glitches that make it unplayable - or something like that

Only other valid reason I can think of is a game that forces you to stay online otherwise it won't work at all. I could skip a game like this even if I wanted it.

I do tend to agree, especially since "bad English voice acting" has become a rarity for larger games (even RE games get good voice actors nowadays). That being said, it shouldn't be a necessity because a game with a lot of voice acting should reasonably be able to hire decent voice actors and people who work with and direct the voice actors for what is almost always it's biggest release (the English language version). And sometimes, they still don't.

Even when it isn't a big focus, it's still absurd how little thought or effort was given. I refuse to believe the narrator for Hyrule Warriors did more than a day's worth of voice acting. They just found some random person, said "hey you can voice act!" and gave them 300 bucks to monotone their way through a story summary. Or at least that's what it seems like. Either Japanese VO isn't needed or the people localizing it have no effort/money left. Simple as that.

@kkslider5552000 Even when it's bad I still don't think it's a good reason to skip the game. Sin and Punishment Star Successor and the Resident Evil 1 Remake had two of the worst English dubs in a modern game and that doesn't stop me from absolutely loving them.
