Topic: Dreamcast and PS2.....not a VS thrend but id love to know which is actually more powerful.

@MetalMario: Taking sales away? Sure, we'll go with that, but like Sean007s said, most of those games are crappy licensed games.

Exactly. Stupid little kids and their mommys buy that crap for the wrong system.

I hate the shovelware, but it's alot of sales for Wii, I'm guessing.

I knew dreamcast came out first, but i didn't realize it was THAT under powered. I still <3 mine though.

PS2 was more powerful for the most part, though DC was supposed to have had better sound.

I think using DVDs was the only big advantage to the PS2 over DC or GameCube. Companies try to win you over with a lot of information that doesn't mean much of anything; like how many polygons they can put on screen without texture maps or how many systems they've sold-counting the ones still sitting on the shelves at Wal*Mart. I just want to look at the games. That's it.

Then ask yourself do I want to play SoulCalibur on the Dreamcast...

...or Kessen on the PS2?

But you know that technically the PS2 was more powerful, but who cares since the Xbox blew them both out of the water.

I really think ps2 is better, just cause I like the games, th rest is pretty equal...
HA!!! just joking, in reality the ps2 is WAYYYY better than anything else!

I still stand by my post from last year, that the PlayStation 2 is more powerful than the Dreamcast (because the latter came prior to the former).
