I know this might be difficult for a few here to accept, but believe it or not, some threads are just fine without the political commentary.

Why does everything always turn to political stuff. Politics is such an ugly thing. And why would a state want to cede from the union? I've never heard anyone I know say that.

@Corbie: you should move to Virginia lots of rain and very nice in the summer not at all as hot as Texas Corbie ^^ and also did you get that email from supersonic he said he sent you one
All i have to say is that is pretty much bull! I live in Virginia 4 months out of the year becuase that is where all my family is and where I stay my summers at. This is really the first wet summer we've had in 3 years, the river was literally extremely low and sure they may not be as hot as Texas, but humidity wise this place will burn you up!

I've always seen Texas as the big fat kid some large family decided to adopt.
Maybe that's just me.

Am I the only one that's looked at a map recently?
Last time I checked Texas was big/fat/chubby and the rest of the country was quite large.
The way I view that is totally up to me. I don't get all sensitive over the way people view the state I live in.

I guess Alaksa would be the even fatter kid that the large family adopted, but because of his size he has to eat at a separate table.
And poor little Hawaii is the tiny, adopted kid that the family always leaves alone in a giant swimming pool.

@ AlexSays - Aren't you the one who left the site for awhile because of the way people were coming down on you? So you must be somewhat sensitive.
And I was kidding about the hammer mods, let's not get the itchy trigger finger.

Oh I was just kidding around. I could take Texas or leave it really. Too hot, as I said earlier. And I was one of the people who wanted AlexSays to come back. I'm glad he's around.

I enjoy watching the Dallas Cowboys fall apart at the end of every season.
So Texas is OK in my book.

@Corbie If the permanent hotness of Texas is getting old, why not come over here to good ol' blighty - our summer's basically been: a week of Sun, a week of lightning, a week of Sun, a week of lightning, etc... Never gets old
