There a mess of them in my house, mostly becasue my Big Sis keeps buying them.....
Just a other bad Fad
For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday. [url=http://www.backloggery.com/jumpmad]Unive...
No, I thought I was safe from them in here. D: They are everywhere in my school, boys, girls, teachers are always wearinglike 20 of them at once. They are just shaped rubber bands, come on. Sometimes, these fads just get a little out of hand.......
Just like Crocs.
While I've never worn them, I've heard that Crocs are pretty comfortable, and I can think of a few situations where comfortable, waterproof shoes might be of value, so while the fad for the most part has died out, there may still be something of a market for them.
I can't imagine how these things are in anyway useful, and I just don't see the appeal. They are less interesting than those live strong bracelets and their various knockoffs, because, at least with the originals, the proceeds went to a good cause (I still never wore those either). These things are just stupid, they come in shapes that, when worn, are completely indescribable, and yet people seem to feel the need to collect them. it's pretty sad what people will buy into when they see the right people tell them it's cool.
pet rocks
slap bracelets
those little nylon heads with sawdust and grass seeds in them that grew grass-hair when you watered them and gave them sunlight. (ok, I did have one of those)

Chi,chi,chi Chia!
Kinda, but Chia pets were those terracotta animals that you smeared some weird snot like substance on and filed with water and they grew some herb. There were like Chia Pets for the broke and lazy. No prep work, just soak it and set it in the sun, BAM tasteless apartment decor.

Anyway, last year at my middle school they were literally all the rage, among boys and girls. Everyone would be putting them all over each other's desk and were like "OK I'll trade you pink dinosaur for the green giraffe." (OK I'm paraphrasing but you get the idea. ). Now that I'm in highschool they don't seem to be creating nearly the same level of excitement, although I do believe there are still people wearing them.
Lol that was the same with me. At my High School I only see girls wear them.
I know most people on this thread are probably like middle school or high school aged, but I thought anyone in my age group might find this kind of funny. This was actually my first experience with silly bandz. If a girl in a bar ever gives u one, they're trying to tell you something...
I do not wear these things. Never have never will. I just find them dumb and a waste of money. My 6 year old sister has at least 30, and wears them all at once. And now my 11 year old bro is getting some... Have I mentioned that my 2 year old brother even has some.

Well, I was downtown yesterday, and I saw that they had Silly Bandz, but they were unoficial. Man, if I'm going to buy any I may as well get the real thing and not some cheap knockoff.
