Topic: Does anyone wear "Silly Bandz"?

Oh no don't remind me; they're an absolute phenomenon at my middle school. I'll admit to having one myself, but only because a girl I like gave it to me. It's a tiny yellow star ring, btw.

They are popular all over our district, anyways. I don't think I personally have ever touched one.

Yeah, I have like, 100-something Silly Bandz. I've already broken 5 of them and my bro, 3. Btw, if you see any "Bandz" that are cheaper and do not have the exact name "Silly Bandz" (Goofy Bandz, Shaped Rubber Bandz, Zany Bandz etc.) than they are clones of the real thing. Hey all you Silly Bandz haters, these things are so popular that the CVS clerks know what you are looking for even before we ask. When we got our first ones we had to go to 5 different places before we could find any legit ones. They're pretty cool. My favs are the RockBandz.

Some people at my school use them as weapons. They tie little folded up pieces of paper to them and then launch them. Its annoying.

No, and I probably never will. I didn't get into that whole Livestrong clone bracelet fad that was going around either.

OMG. I never have worn them and never will. Everyone in my Highschool would wear them in excessive amounts. I just don't get the appeal. I actually asked the cashier at the dollar store the other day what the big deal was because some mom was freaking out that they were sold out and the cashier actually told me that it is just a fad that the kids are into just like "that Pokemans thing." I wanted to slap her!!! Silly Bandz are NOTHING like "Pokemans" Pokemon was a WAY better fad and actually had a point. And while I'm on the subject I really REALLY hate it when adults call Pokemon "Pokemans" or any other incorrect variation on the name.

It's better than people throwing tiny carrots everywhere...

Nope, not me. They don't seem very masculine. I do see a lot of females wearing them at school, though.

Last year at my middle school they were literally all the rage, among boys and girls. Everyone would be putting them all over each other's desk and were like "OK I'll trade you pink dinosaur for the green giraffe." (OK I'm paraphrasing but you get the idea. ). Now that I'm in highschool they don't seem to be creating nearly the same level of excitement, although I do believe there are still people wearing them.

ive been on a campaign. everytime a kid in my class takes off their silly band, i secretly steal it and put it in a baggie i have in my locker. i think ive collected around 30 so far, and some kids are getting really pissed because their silly bands keep "falling off"
