@ Wolfslayer That would probably help me figure things out better. I guess I'm a little slow when it comes to Sci-fi. The only movies in that Genre that I ever completely understood were the Star wars films. Well the original Trilogy anyway. The prequels were a little iffy sometimes. Star trek is pretty simple to understand also. Your Avatar is my favorite character. I like the way Spock only speaks when he has something important to say. It's interesting listening to him.

Fact 2: there were 4 CG companies working on TRON they were,Digital Effects INC ( TRON Forming, BIT),MAGI Sythavision(Lightcycles,Recognizers,Tanks, some of the Solar-Sailer sequence),Robert Abel and Associates(the real-to-electronic world transision, and some of the opening sequence),and Triple I(Sarks carrier, the Solar-Sailer,and The MCP).
Link79:Thanks!
Fact 3: Did you know that Peter O Toole was trying to get cast in the role of TRON!
Kadunta:Interesting! ( about the book), never played Tron 2.0 (I was to busy with my Dreamcast at the time (miss it).)
Link-hero:The ones that I was referencing in my initial post were my dad and a few friends I know/knew.
Link-Hero: And also my Dad never explained why he didn't like the movie.
please, wolfslayer, if you have something else to add to your existing comment, use the 'Edit' link instead of double/triple/quadruple-posting in a thread. thank you -- TBD
I liked the Tron world in Kindom hearts 2. I need to go play that game again.

Tron is one of my all-time favorite movies, going back to when i saw it in the theatre all those years ago. I too have the Collector's Edition DVD. While i've known people who don't know the movie or are indifferent to it, the only time i've ever known anyone to actively dislike the movie are those who think that Fast and the Furious is high cinema, so clearly their opinions are irrelevant. =)
My usual PC start-up noise used to be (till my last computer crashed and i lost the sound files) Flynn's "Greetings, programs!", while the shutdown was the MCP's "End of line". My PC "nickname" (for networking purposes and such) is "Master Control".
Clearly, i am wicked psyched for Tron Legacy. =D
On the new video game, i think i had read somewhere that there is a separate Tron game (different than the 360/PS3 prequel game) being developed for Wii, but i might be mistaken.
By the way, i'd defintely reccommend the freeware game "GL Tron", which is the most perfect light cycle game i've ever seen. Also good is the Space Paranoids game, which was mentioned in an older Tron thread somewhere. Very cool.
I never thought the film was hard to understand at all (and again, i first saw the film way back in '82 at 7 years old), but i've always been into sci-fi and such.
