I enjoy Mega Evolutions in XY and ORAS but, I don't want them in every generation to come.

Honestly, I'm indifferent to the mega evolutions thing. Sorta reminds me of Dragonball Z. Pokemon basically going super saiyan on their sorry opponent's butt. I actually want them to shake things up with the story and formula. Take the into the distant past or future or something huge like that.

At this point, they won't remove existing Mega Evolutions. Game Freak has always built on the Pokémon franchise over time, not remove from it. They may decide against introducing new Mega forms come next generation, but I have a feeling that new Mega evolutions will continue to be introduced as the series continues. I just want to see more evolutions and pre-evolutions of existing Pokémon. Ideally, I think all non-legendary Pokémon should have at least three members in their evolutionary line. I'd be satisfied if the seventh generation consisted of mostly new evolutions of existing Pokémon with a relatively small number of new Pokémon.

I laugh because Pokkens gameplay is like Dragon Ball Z games.

Anyway,I can kinda agree. I like them, but I don't want then forever. There's still ideas they can take from Digimon. Remove Mega's for Pokemon Fusion/Synchronization which could only be used in Doubles (Or Triples). This would make the Meta move towards double battles more and have more of a reason to spam D-Battles in say Gen 7 like they did in Emerald. And think of the Pokemon recipe combinations. And Pikachu would get most of them.

I don't see them removing Mega Evolutions, as Megas keep the hype train consistently going for Pokèmon games before they're released.

Brawl: Sonic
Project M: Link

I really enjoy Mega Evolutions. I'd like to see more Pokemon get Megas such as Arbok, Seviper, Zangoose and Octillery.

Mega Evolutions really don't feel vsry important, so I certainly wouldn't miss them.

But since Megas don't count towards 100% Dex, GameFreak should make some nerve-wrecking challenges for most Mega Stones - or some challenge to begin with (BW/BW2 did it right with challenge mode, but screwed up the implementation).

I don't hate Mega Evolutions but I do fear they'll replace normal evolutions for old Pokemon.

With Gen VI being so small, I get the feeling Game Freak is trying to conserve how many they add with each generation. Mega Evolutions basically add a way to make old Pokemon relevant again without adding more numbers to the Pokedex.

I think fusion might be just a little too much for Pokemon. It works for Digimon since they're made of data, and their data being corrupted or altered is a common theme. Of course, B2/W2 sorta crossed that line already, even if they went the genetics route. They didn't really take anything from Digimon anyway, not even the term 'mega' since its just a localization change for Digimon.

Anyway, I'm fine with Mega evolutions, just so long as Game Freak doesn't get too ridiculous with them. We don't need several hundred of them, which can easily be done if they try to please everybody who wants their favorite Pokemon to have a Mega.

I was sad the red health music was taken out in Gen 6. If they take away Mega Evolutions next gen I'd have to slap the development team for consistent dumb decisions.

That was sad, but mega evolutions going isn't sad at all. Plus this is what GameFreak does.

I like the Megas as they add an additional element to battles, I just hope they keep it at one mevo per team. The animation takes too long (especially if you wanna lead with a Mega in the Maison) and it would get boring seeing all the same pokes over and over again (which already happens to an extent as it is).

everything's good and it'll be that way forever!

While I do like Dragonball Z and it's franchise of games, I don't really care for Pokken. It doesn't have me excited at all. As for mega evolutions, I agree that we shouldn't get them like candy and should be for a select few. I'd much rather see 3rd/Final evolutions for the 2 stage ones like Hypno or Arbok or even Weezing. Some of these guys need to be revamped or at the very least some TLC.

Mega Evolutions are fine by me, but they really should stop making them so ugly. Yikes.

You're aware Pokemon have an energy form, right? Pokemon have a energy form and the Pokeball triggers that effect thus turning them into pure energy and into ball filled with mirrors blah blah. It's also this energy form which is used to trigger evolution. Remember Slowbro and Shelder in the anime fused. So don't doubt. The way you speak is like your trying to limit what the universe has to offer.

Well I'm not. To me fusion just doesn't make sense for Pokemon, not in the way Digimon does it anyway. Slowpoke and shellder 'fuse', but even then supposedly all you have to do is remove shellder, and they'll revert back. Theres an actual explanation for why it occurs, its considered a form of symbiosis, and the evolution is triggered by the pain from the bite.

Considering Pokemon's main theme deals with nature, theres no 'natural' explanation for random Pokemon fusing. Heck, at least Kyurem was apart of the 'original' dragon. Digimon just writes off such things as a 'mutation' or an alteration of data or something. If they were to introduce fusions, it'd have to be with new Pokemon specifically designed around that idea. Something like having both out in doubles just gives you the option of fusing them for one much stronger Pokemon, giving you a risk vs. reward element.

They could beat a dead horse and make worse by introducing Ultra evolutions and any other adjectives you can think of. Super Mega ultra evolutions. gawd i hope that never comes to pass.
