I was legitimately surprised it wasn't Game Theory tbh.

I don't need to watch it at all to say, yeah all fanbases can suck. (except Detective Conan, because our English fandom only barely exists by comparison : D). This should be known to anyone whose been around more than a few Sonic fans.

That being said, I have no idea why any Zelda fan would have much reason to whine compared to most fanbases. "Oh no, this well made video game for the 15th time this time made a few design changes I didn't like! HOW AWFUL!" I'm surprised Earthbound fans or whoever don't just constantly mock fans like this. There has been almost no franchise in history that has had the consistent quality of Zelda.

I'm echoing what others said here, the Zelda fanbase is actually not worse than a typical fanbase. Of course fans can't agree with one another. That's just human nature in general.

The real problem with Judging Zelda games is that there are such a huge variety of gameplay in each game that it takes a really long time to objectively judge each and every aspect, let alone the entire game as a whole. So most people, myself included, just get excited and overly opinionated about our first playthrough, because, you know, that's generally how most video games work, you can just play it once and get the whole experience the game offers. I had to play Skyward Sword Three times before I decided that overall, I hate Skyward Sword and had to play Ocarina of time Five before I was confident that it was my favorite Zelda. I dare you guys to make a super opinionated post about Skyward Sword or Wind Waker, play through those game two more times, and then see if you don't disagree with nearly the entirety of your original opinion about the game.

I rarely, if ever have I disagreed with my original opinion. When I play a game for the first time I develop a strong feeling and attachment to that game if I enjoyed it and I rarely ever change my opinion or outlook on it, because to me it is still just a fun and enjoyable game. I've played through all my Zelda games multiple times, and I don't think I've ever changed from my initial gut feeling, because in the end to me at least, it's still the same fun game that it was when I first played. That's just me at least.

The Zelda Fandom is overly complicated. SS is the worst because it's linear and the motion controls are bad! No, SS is the best because it's story driven and motion controls make the game feel realistic! WW is great because of the cartoony graphics and big open world! No, WW is crap because the islands are bland and the game is painfully easy! Geez, and to think that in Star Wars fandoms, nearly everybody can just hate all three prequel movies together and agree that Boba fett and Han Solo are the coolest Non-force users and be Happy about it...

I find that to be a testament to the greatness and influence of the Zelda franchise. The way that it encourages so much diversity and attention because of how great its games are. People will always view Zelda games differently mainly because Zelda games tend to be so different and it will probably always be that way.

Well, that was a waste of time. Every Zelda game has fans, and each of them has haters. Hell, every game in the world follows that very concept, it's nothing unique to the Zelda franchise.
More importantly, the guy bases predictions on a feeble pattern - I hate when people do that. The world doesn't work in such simple patterns at all, yet some folks genuinely trust in their accuracy (Windows 10 is a good example). Just... no!

Let's do a test, ask every Zelda fan what's this brain teaser to find out;

Three people check into a hotel.
They pay £30 to the manager and go to their room.
The manager suddenly remembers that the room rate is £25 and gives £5 to the bellboy to return to the people.
On the way to the room the bellboy reasons that £5 would be difficult to share among three people so he pockets £2 and gives £1 to each person.
Now each person paid £10 and got back £1.
So they paid £9 each, totalling £27. The bellboy has £2, totalling £29.
Where is the missing £1?

@MegaBeedrill: Thanks, I get why bringing back old threads can be annoying sometimes, only it took me a while to figure out how to start a new thread. Oh well, at least now this thread is reasonably active again.
