True, but I'm not a collector, though I suspect my copy of Geometry Wars Galaxies will someday put my daughter through university (not that I'd EVER sell it of course).
If I see no replay value I trade them on. And by replay value I mean I enjoyed the game enough to want to play it again; not to get some kind of virtual tropy or badge.
Some games can rise dramatically in value as they get older...such as the original SNES carts for the Final Fantasy games
Same goes for the original Dragon Warrior games 2-4. 2's not that bad but 3 and 4 can get pricey.
