Topic: Do you smoke?

no actually,i was being serious =).. on the good note i got nicotine gum and have slacked off a bit. lets hope i can get rid of this nasty habit.

Nope never smoked in my life. Some of my friends who don't smoke have a "drag", where you just take one quick puff now and again from someone else's cigarette. Personally I think that makes you a smoker really. Its completely pointless, just like drugs. What do they do make you feel good for a little while, then your addicted and then if screws up your health and shortens your life. I've never had the desire to smoke and never will.

i always imagined being cornered by some future inmates who try to force me to smoke crack or something. and when im still imagining, i punch one of the guys so hard that he goes to the IC unit for 2 weeks and the other guys run off while i get in my Porshe with my hot girlfriend and we go to Rome

Nope doesn't make you a bad person. It makes you a pillock in my eyes. But like you said Nintendolife is a very clean place, people might think I'm a pillock because I drink. It's all just a matter of opinion.

Exactly, I might smoke whilst performing charity work for the needy.
Others might refrain from smoking, whilst stealing a purse.

Doesn't mean anything, calling me a pillock for being a smoker seems a bit odd though, especially when you like a drink. Oh well.

@corbie; dunno really, its like 'idiot' or 'numpty' or 'fool' or 'prat' or 'smoker'.

But thats what I meant it's just a different matter of opinion. Doesn't mean I'll dislike you or anything, I've got plenty of friends that smoke and of course the choice is up to them if they want to. I don't agree with people drinking all the time aswell to be honest, but drinking in my opinion isn't that bad if you know your limits.

@Locke: As with anything it's about moderation. My brother and I destroyed a bottle and a half of whiskey last night, doesn't mean I'm gonna do it again tonight. In fact a couple of glasses of red mid week will be the most I probably manage this week. And for the record, I don't smoke cigarettes.

Nope. My grandmother smoked until she had Emphysema. As a child, I watched her carry around oxygen and seeing her cough for minutes at a time until she could hardly breathe (and yet she still smoked!) left an impact on me.

Nope. I don't for the following reasons:

1.(I have asthma and smoking wouldn't help my lungs at all.
2.) My dad quit smoking by cold turkey 21 or 22 years ago when I was a kid.
3.) My mom's uncle had emphysema.
4.) both my dad's parents were heavy smokers and got different medical problems for smoking like blockage, high blood pressure and lung cancer,
5.) Heart problems run both sides of the family. I was told my mom's mom was a smoker and she died of a heart attack almost 2 years before I was born. A good amount of people that had heart problems on both sides of the family were smokers.
6.) I have enough health issues by genetics the way it is like having a thyroid condition and I have to take medication for it every day.

i don't, but my husband does. i won't let him do it in the house, but i don't mind hanging out with him outside while he smokes. i grew up around it, so i'm used to it, but it's just not for me.

I used to once in a while, I don't do it much anymore though. I don't see a problem with it in moderation. Sometimes its fun and it feels good, but ppl who smoke like a pack a day are pretty gross IMO. I enjoy smoking cigars on certain occasions too.
