I don't know if there is anyone else like me who plays games series during certain times of the year, for example I play
Early to late Summer- Resident Evil
Spring and summer- Metroid Prime trilogy
Winter- Animal Crossing, and the Super Mario Bros. series, Zelda
Year Round- Super Smash Bros., Pokemon, Mario Kart
The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons. I'm hardcore. I only allow myself to play it if the season in the game matches what season it is in real life. So every time I have to switch the season in-game, I have to wait anywhere from a few days to a couple of months to play again.
I've been playing the same game since 2001 and still haven't finished.
I have a tendency to play, and finish, RPGs a bit more frequently during the colder months of the year, but it's not really a conscious decision (other than, you know, the obvious "Huh, I feel like playing Dragon Quest Whatever right now").
I never go, "Whoa, it's winter. Time to put down the platformers and start level grinding."
Spring: Majora's Mask
Summer:Majora's Mask
Fall:Majora's Mask
Winter:Majora's Mask
Year Round: We Ski

Nope....I only play certain games depending on what's going on in the future. A Link to the Past 2 comes out later this year...so I'm playing Skyward Sword and the Oracle games. (and eventually the original ALttP of course, lol)

Keep it PG-13-ish.
Usually I play horror type games in October. Games like Castlevania, Resident Evil, and Left 4 Dead. Than during Olympic season I play the Mario and Sonic games. But other than that I don't.

I always tend to sink my teeth into a good RPG in the early months of the year.
I often feel like playing Max Payne 1/2 once a year when the weather gets cold and wintery.
They release games in the same series or genre at different times of the year every time. If you buy the game on the release date, then it changes all the time based on that.
i.e. Wind Waker on GCN was released in March, the HD remake is being released this fall.

As @ogo79 said, the SNS-RZ-USA is a prime giveaway that it's not a legit retail cart.
