Topic: Do you drink alcohol?

I've never understood everyone's fascination with getting drunk. I like to be in control of my body at all times, and alcohol is like poisoning yourself on purpose so you don't have control. It doesn't make sense!

I'm the same way though, the only alcohol I take in is from little German chocolates.

I'll have a beer like every 6 months or so, but other than that, not much anymore. Just don't have the time.

Why do people drink? Because it makes you cooler, the ladies more attractive and everyone has a better time.

I used to get drunk very often.. but it resulted in my making a complete ass of myself and doing something i am ashamed of to this day... I still drink but i never drink more then a glass or 2 nowadays.

I've never been drunk and I haven't had any alcohol in quite some time. Don't have any problem being around drunks, but I like to keep control.

No, I haven't drank enough to the point of being drunk. So I guess I'm judging something I haven't experienced. I just feel like there's something wrong with society and humans in general, if we feel so low about ourselves that the only way we can be happy is through intoxication

If someone like you say can only be happy through being intoxicated, then they have an addiction. There's nothing wrong with getting sauced on occasion as long as you have the right gameplan (no driving, are of age, etc.)

nope. I'm 21 and I've never even tasted alcohol. It just doesn't interest me. Pretty much all of my best friends drink all the time and they drink around me, but they never act like idiots (at least, no more than usual)

I think even most drinkers realize all the possible reasons why someone wouldn't drink.

im only 13 so i dont drink, but when i was a baby my parents believed i liked beer. whenever they had a bottle they would give some to me and watch me drink it and laugh.

I myself aren't a drinker, and was one of the two people who only had water at my prom's after party. I just don't see the point, when I'm happy enough with a glass of water, and would rather spend my time watching everyone go insane, than do it myself. Plus, my headaches are bad enough, without having extra stress from the booze the night before.

I love going to the pub. I'm a football fan so during the season I use that as an excuse to go to pub and have a few beers. I'm what you call a social drinker really - I don't have to drink, I can happily have a coke there, but sometimes having a couple of pints with your friends is a great way to spend the evening. It also makes you more confident - but then can also make you more of an idiot. Just know your limits and don't drink too often and it has more ups than downs.
