or i should say, in an anti-diluvian world ?

look here what i have found
http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=41.023656,-73.216528&z=12&...
3 lines of walls-roads

i dont know if that is a modern submarine work for any reason, OR ar road-walls-harbour channel to let ships come in, before the area was fulfilled by waters (it's inside a gulf, in the direction of the EXIT of it)

every line is about 10 km long, and less than 1 thick (the 2 big ones)

apparently (i measured with google earth, not maps) those roads are 4-5 meters higher than the roads inside (the empty spaces)

i have found this 1 hour ago

(see it as a New Yorkean BIMINI wall)

This is the oddest topic I have ever seen.

and most important it's ONLY 30 meters on the floor of the water
(while other imaginary lines, later known as Scentific Boats Scansm are 3-4000 meters on the floor of the ocean)

considering that is pretty certain that since the last Glaciacion Meltdown, the world waters rose up from 30 to 150 meters (maximum accepted)

a part the oddity(oddest?) of the thread, is the find, odd ?

if we mean the European Atlantis (by Plato) probably it isnt
if we mean the civilizations who lived on the coasts of North America (NY area) during the last Glacial Age

if that is a wall/road or Harbour (old at least 8.000 years, for the water levels) , wheater its Atlantis, or ChicaChica(random name) its secondary, but such find in such location is terribly huge
actually north america history is made of indians, mounds, mounds and indians

imho this can be the very same situation of the BIMINI WALL-ROAD down to Bahamas

but NY is sensational

I've actually read a few books now whereby they make a good case for Atlantis being Antartica before the Ice Age. Maps have been found (search Maps of the ancient sea gods or Charles Hapgood) that were made of Antartica before it was covered in Ice and these match up perfectly with recent sonar scans done by the navy. The maps have been proven not to be fake but historians don't like it as it throws their historical time lines out the window. They reckon a sea faring race exsisted well before the Eygytians and mapped a lot of the world. They also knew the earth wasn't flat. They probably got wiped out in the ice age and subsequent floods but maybe some made it through carrying the tales of 'Atlantis' with them. I have seen the under water walls you speak of and they are very intresting too. I genuienly believe that an advanced race exsisted before Egypt because in historical terms Egypt just sprang up out of nowwhere ,where did the technology come from? Same in South America with their pyramids. One theory is that the survivors of Atlantis found there way to new lands bringing with them knowledge. These figures would have appeared almost Godlike to the natives and prehaps thats where tales like Noah's Ark originate from the floods as every continent has an almost exact same story regarding a great flood and an ark. It's really intresting stuff.

What's this bit for again?

Do you mean the legendary super advanced city of atlantis or just a city that sunk from an earthquake the latter is posable but the former seems unlikely.

I for one absolutely love the Disney movie Atlantis the Lost Empire! I watched it for fun just a few days ago!

Quotes:
Milo: Will you look at the size of this? It's gotta be half a mile high, at least. It-It must have taken hundred- No, thousands of years to carve this thing.
[Vinny blows it up, and it falls down over a chasm]
Vinny: Hey, look, I made a bridge. It only took me like, what? Ten seconds? Eleven, tops.

Milo: By the way, we were never properly introduced. My name's Milo.
Princess Kida: My name is Kidagakash.
Milo: Ki-ki-kidamaschnaga... Uh, hey, you got a nickname?
Princess Kida: Kida.
Milo: Okay, Kida. I can remember that.

Princess Kida: You do swim, do you not?
Milo: Oh, I swim pretty girl... Pr-Pretty good, pretty good. Sw... Good. Swim good. Pretty good. I swim pretty good.

My Top #1 favorite quote out of the entie movie:
Milo: Oh, my decision? Well, I-I think we've seen how effective my decisions have been. Let's re-cap. I lead a band of plundering vandals to the greatest archaeological find in recorded history, thus enabling the kidnap and/or murder of the royal family, not to mention personally delivering the most powerful force known to man into the hands of a mercenary nutcase who's probably gonna sell it to the Kaiser! Have I left anything out?
Dr. Sweet: Well, you did set the camp on fire and drop us down that big hole.
Milo: Thank you! Thank you very much.
It's just too OMG LOL funny!

Milo: Okay. Here's the plan. We're gonna come in low and fast and take 'em by surprise.
Audrey: Well, I've got news for you, Milo. Rourke is never surprised and he's got a lot of guns.
Milo: Great. Well, do you have any suggestions?
Vinny: Yeah. Don't get shot!

I believe in Atlantis. Of course, I also think that the world is flat, Chuck Norris really is God, and that the Tooth Fairy stole my socks.

Why oh why do people love their own ignorance so much? Many peoples (ancient ones) knew the Earth was not flat. You may want to look into it, much history has been undisclosed in the indoctrination centers of our western world.

And yeah, Atlantis really was the pre-Flood world, when the area we now know as the continent Antarctica was a nice warm, temperate place to live, ferns and all...

The global flood legends are global because there was a global Flood event.

I don't believe in a super advanced civilization, maybe for that time period but not advanced by today's standards. There were some ancient cities that had flushing toilets and the like. It really is fascinating, but for super advanced (compared to he present), possibly alien civilization? No.

You and I explored quite a bit of the ocean the other night. How could you forget so quickly?

Also, this thread is easily throwing up some of my favourite posts of recent times. Keep them coming, everyone.

PS No I do not believe in Atlantis.
