Honestly I'm really curious. I usually die quite a bit in almost every level of most Nintendo games. Is this typical? Do you often go through games like Mario, DKC, Sonic (not Nintendo but still) without dying for long stretches, or does every second or third different obstacle cause you to at least die once? I feel like such a noob!

And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)
There's a bonus level in the first group of stages in the new Donkey Kong game where you have to swing on vines for half the level before finding a platform to rest on. I think I replayed that twenty times in a row before I got through it. I don't really like platform games, but my appreciation for what Nintendo has done with New Super Mario Bros. U and Super Mario 3D World kept me playing. I think these games are a lot more accessible than they used to be (which is good or I wouldn't bother with them), but they're still pretty hard. People are better at different kinds of games is all I'd put down to bad performance into a given genre.
Maybe I meant my skills sound too bad, it's not like a die on every obstacle, just every two or three sections of a level often. I don't die to every Goomba.
You can die all you like in a game, to know if you truly suck you must look at how much trouble you have finishing a game. Especially if you can't finish many games at all is a good sign you suck.
I actually died on nearly every level in New Super Luigi U. I die a lot in Donkey Kong Country Returns also. I die a lot in Sonic Lost World. I die a lot.

To be honest, I'm kinda worried about your general motor functions and response times in general. Ok, so you suck at games. It doesn't really matter that much.
But I hope you're not equally as bad at similar kinds of tasks in the real world. You know....crossing the road
Don't believe people on the Internet. If you are playing performers without dieing some, (especially on DKC: TF more so than 3D World), then you are a psychic and in the mind of the creator(s) of the game and can foresee every obstacle beforehand.
To blessed to be stressed.

Infinite respawns and checkpoints have made this generation weak!! Haha but really the important thing is to have fun even online just enjoy yourself for every person who gets annoyed there ten who just want to have fun as well with time and enoughopractice you'll be just as good as everyone else. Oh and I suck at Monster Hunter 3 U but I still love playing it!!
For instance I died 295 times in Shovel Knight, that's awful isn't it?
Also I die a least 2-3 times on every Mario/DKC level.
But you beat Shovel Knight? You can't be that bad if you beat the game.
I would have never guessed Weezing was so useful until I played a HeartGold Nuzlocke! My YouTube Channel! Video game related, of course! My Pushmo Levels
