@Banker-Style Me three! That show was just ingenious. Every Disney character you could imagine up to that point? Check. Classic shorts and new shorts of Mickey and the gang? Check. Some of the best writing you'll see in a Mickey Mouse cartoon until Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and the Quest for the Crystal Mickey? Double check. That show was the best.
@DestinyMan You've got the right movie, but the wrong date. Max's last appearance was in Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas in 2004. Meaning next year will be the 10th anniversary of his disappearance.

Hey, @DestinyMan? Could you rename this thread into (preferably) "The Official Disney/Pixar Thread" or just "Disney/Pixar Discussion"? I'm only asking so we don't have to make a seperate Pixar thread with people constantly asking what the difference is between Disney and Pixar.

@DestinyMan: Actually according to the rules here, you cant name it the official thread since only staff of NL can use the title official. You might want to change that to the unofficial Disney/Pixar thread,

@Mickey: Yeah I am afraid only staff members can only make a thread called the Official ______ Thread. That's why if you look around the boards you will see The _________ Unofficial Thread.
Anyways keeping on track here. My favorite Pixar movie would have to be Cars. Not sure why perhaps its because I do like cars alot and I also liked the story as well.
My favorite Disney movie would have to be Aladdin. I just love Robin Williams performance in that one along with Gilbert Godfrey as Iago. Jafar was a great villain too.

Hmmmm let's see. I remember them butchering The Mandarian in Iron Man 3. You all can say that that was Marvel but I totally believe that was Disney especially since that bit happened after they switched directors. I am almost positive that Disney gimped The Mandarian cause they were afraid from all the backlash they would get from the Arab communities.
As for Star Wars we can only wait and see.

So you think Disney's messing with Marvel based on... you thinking it wasn't Marvel doing something stupid... AGAIN.
You give Marvel [the same company that had Peter Parker make a deal with the Marvel equivalent of THE DEVIL] way too much credit... and, to an extent, you give Disney too much credit as well. If they were worried about backlash from the Arab communities, it'd also mean they'd have to be worried about the Black communities which is IMPOSSIBLE because Johnny Depp plays Tonto in "Tonto, also starring: The Lone Ranger".
And they've (so far) done nothing to Star Wars [George was planning the new movies before Disney bought Lucasfilm] yet you say they've "already messed with stuff like Star Wars".
You have absolutely no facts beyond you "totally believing" and being "almost positive" about two changes that could've been (and probably was) made by the company they bought.
PS: I overreacted in that first post and I apologize, Tasuki. Puberty hasn't been kind to me lately so I'm gonna have to ask you to try to understand that I'll do stuff like that without actually meaning it. Again: I'm terribly sorry. And [I hope] it won't happen again.

@Mickey: No worries. Its all cool. Anyway you are going to believe what you believe and I am going to believe what I am going to believe thats all. After all different views and opinions is what makes discussions great.
Anyway back on track here.
I saw that alot of people liked Walle, I must be the only one that didn't like it.

That's a relief. I'm glad this discussion ended the way it did.

I just didn't enjoy it as much as I did other Pixar films. For one thing it felt like it was too long the movie maybe it would have been better as a short. I honestly dont remember now why I didn't like I remember being all hyped for it finally renting it from Netflix and then just being disappointed by it. Even now when I think of rewatching the thought of rewatching it doesn't even appeal to me unlike other Pixar movies like Toy Story, Cars, Finding Nemo or Up. Honestly the way I feel about Walle is that if I enjoyed it I probably would have remembered more of it then I do, if that makes sense.

@Tasuki Okay, first: I'm going to assume that the raspberry emoticon means that you get that I was joking. Second: I didn't remember any of WALL-E until I re-watched it recently. You should seriously consider re-watching it, man. There's a scene [in the movie] where it outdoes Superman: The Movie.

@Tasuki: I can't say I agree with your opinion, but to each their own. I'm a fan of Science Fiction though, so that probably helped. Sure the whole "Protect the Planet" theme was a little bit annoying, but I found its depictions of a conformist society rather smartly done. Overall, I'd say the movie was done rather smartly, but it's definitely a different breed of Pixar movie.
