I'm not keen on that look, but I guess that I'm not their target audience. They're probably trying to appeal to kids that are too young to have played the Mega Man games.
I actually liked the first Tomb Raider film in a dumb fun kind of way (didn't like the second one as much).
Wreck it Ralph was pretty cute, with some nice cameos (though It's pretty popular around here already).
I've seen lots of bad video game films, such as the live action adaptations of Super Mario Bros, DOA: Dead or Alive, & even Onechanbara, but the worst one by far is the King of Fighters. I've only played one KoF game (and not for very long), but even that was enough to tell the movie was terrible (I'd venture to say the Super Mario Bros movie got more right, lol).
However, Fatal Fury: the Motion Picture (this one an anime film) was pretty good (there are also two related OVAs that released before it. I wasn't too big on the first one, but the second one was good).
In terms of TV shows:
Zone of the Enders: Delores, I is an anime side story that takes place inbetween the two PS2 games, and while it can be a bit campy, is good fun. It follows a completely different story than the games, but the earlier released Zone of the Enders: Idolo OVA is a prequel to both the games, as well as this.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
I think we all know who wins in the tv show department:
But in all seriousness, in terms of movies I've seen the Super Mario Brothers movie (Not the worst thing out there imo, but you can just tell that there was some serious problems with it's production. Hopefully the series will be able to redeem itself in the film department now that Nintendo's in the film business.), Wreck-It Ralph, which I thought was pretty good, I watched the Sonic animated film when I was VERY young (I think I might've been six), and several Pokemon films. I mean, it has videogame influence, but it's based off a comic, so I'm not sure. In terms of telivision, there was the Pokemon anime, which for a long time was my only affiliation with the brand. I didn't actually start playing the games until I got older...weird. Other than that, there was the Super Mario Bros. Super Show, which I can't help but love in a "So bad it's good" kind of way, I've seen a couple of episodes of Kirby: Right Back At Ya, and some of the Sonic cartoons. So...there ya have it. Also, I'm not really lovin' that Megaman...
There is nothing here...except for the stuff I just typed...

Oh wow, they really did use the same style for the poster. That's... interesting.
On another note, I think the distinction between a good video game show or movie and a bad one seems to be whether it's a direct adaptation or not. Stuff like Wreck it Ralph does well, because it's an original concept with video games as a theme. Actual adaptations do worse, because they have to try and adapt concepts only suited for games (with limited storylines and character personalities) to a movie, and end up messing everything up.
I am really excited for Warcraft. Probably my most anticipated movie this year. Only have a little while to wait too. I have been avoiding trailers and such as well so I can be amazed when I see it.
