Everyone seems to have difficulty with one browser or another, had to re-install FF to get it working again at one point, for me Opera on PC was the most problamatic for some reason.
firefox on my mac shut-down crashes a lot when i close quake live....tends to run well on the xp partition and all my other OSes though (vista on laptop, xp and ubuntu linux on netbook). I'd just recommend always keeping current with updates...although that recommendation tends to be more of a general-computing one, despite the occasional busted update that quickly gets fixed.
