Neither, thankfully. Last time I checked I had perfect vision.

Contacts don't hurt at all if you get the soft type [if your eyes don't need hard.]
It really isn't a big hassle to take them out and put them in, and my contacts are a new type that you can wear to sleep if you want. You just have to use eyedrops maybe once a day.

Just let it happen.

You can get glasses where the lenses can become darker whenever there is sunlight outside. I have them, and they seem to work pretty well.

Yeah I remember those now. Still, I generally prefer the style of the darker sunglasses. I also like to be able to hide my eyes, whether it is really bright out or not.

I've worn glasses since I was in the eighth grade. I have always been, and I think that I will always be a glasses man as opposed to contacts. I just figure that God put all that we needed into those sockets when we were born, so why she would go shoving something smaller in there. I really don't like trying to put something into my eye. I have a bachelor's degree in theater, and it was always bad enough having to put on that stupid eye makeup when I would act in a play, so I'm sure that contacts would be even worse since they actually have to be put IN your eyes, and they have to stay there. I also like the way that I look in glasses better anyways. So, I give my vote to glasses!!!! lol

Vendetta

I hear you, Gamer. But just behind the eye sockets, a bigger socket exists that holds our brains, and in them, the intelligence and ability to develop both beautiful and terrible things according to free will.

I feel blessed to live in a world made a better place by those who have used their intelligence to improve the lives of those with challenges of all kinds.

I completely understand Vendetta. My reference to God wasn't implying that I'm religiously opposed to contacts, of course. If other people like them, that's great. I really just don't like shoving small things into my eyes. lol The God reference (in this particular case) was merely a humorous anecdote to support my side of the battle. It always looks good to have God on your side. lol But I too am greatly appreciative of advances in both medical and non-medical technologies whether I personally like using them or not.

I started wearing glasses in the second grade, and I quit in the eighth grade because I realised how much other people needed glasses or contacts more than me. My peers at the time had terrible eyes compared to me. My eyes aren't perfect, but they sure are better than others who need glasses or contacts.

None of the above.
Vision is imperfect at 20/30 - still good enough to drive just fine.
I like the HD graphics of RL when wearing glasses but they hurt my eyes too damn much after a few hours of usage.

Lasik, about 9 years ago. I imagine I'll eventually start needing glasses again for certain contexts, but I'm not there yet, thankfully.

Wore glasses since i was 8, then switched to contacts during high school and college. Some time during law school i started wearing my glasses more often, but would switch between the two. Now i wear my glasses pretty much exclusively. In fact, now if i happen to put my contacts in, i start to get a headache after a couple hours (my eyes have obviously adjusted to my glasses, though i think i also need an eye exam, as it's been a while).

I've thought about Lasik, but am a little paranoid about it. Besides, i like my glasses even if they can be a pain at times.
