That's good news. I think Bloom was one of the best casts in LOTR. I think it's probably not gonna be more than a cameo, though. Thranduil, Legolas' father, appeared in the book, but not Legolas himself.
LOL @ 3D Gandalf.
Actually I think it shall be more than a cameo because The Hobbit is going to be a two part film, The Hobbit I and the Hobbit II. The Hobbit II is supposed to take a look at the the events that come immediately before the opening scenes of The Fellowship of the Ring. Basically, The Hobbit II will take place between the books The Hobbit and The Fellowship of the Ring sort of like Star Wars The Clone Wars does for Star Wars Episode II Attack of The Clones and Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith.

The Chronicles of Narnia are some of my favorite books of all time. I loved them when I was younger and still do today. Lord of the Rings is a masterpiece as well, Tolkien was a very intelligent man to have thought up everything about Middle Earth. I've been reading the entire Redwall series for a year and love it. The beast warriors in those books aren't adorable at all, though, they get pretty graphic. I love fantasy.
Hey, that's really nice man. I still read both C.S. Lewis and J.R.R Tolkien's works quite often. I really enjoyed the movie Voyage of the Dawn Treader and I really hope that The Magician's Nephew is the next Narnia movie in the pipeline.
That Thor commercial is hilarious. I almost peed myself at the conclusion. The hobbit is going to be awesome. Sad thing is, is that after Harry Potter 7 too many movies are being released in two or more parts. (The last Twilight movie will be two parts just to drag it out for Twilight haters like me.)

George R. R. Martin has gone senile. His new book is wooooooooeful.
The TV series, on the other hand, is spectacular.
Yeah I've heard lots of bad things about the latest book in the series.TBH I was getting worried after reading the last one (A Feast for Crows) seems like he has lost his way with the series which is a shame as I was enjoying it up until that.I afraid that it seems like he may be going down the same road as Robert Jordan (Wheel of Time series) did.
On a another note I am now on the third book of the Farseer Trilogy (Robin Hobb) and its freakin great.
Also why does Gandalf look older in The Hobbit than in LOTR? Surely that ain't right!!

Is it as bad as the atheistic turn that Phillip Pullman took in 'The Amber Spyglass'? That book was so bad that some consider it to be the death nail in the coffin for interest in the 'His Dark Materials' franchise.

I am reading that trilogy right now, but am not at the third book yet. Judging from your signature, I'm just gonna assume your negative opinion on that book is probably coloured by your own beliefs. As an atheist, it may be different for me.
