Topic: Club nintendo 2010 rewards...a letdown?

Definitely a let down. I was really hoping for the SMG2 soundtrack, but then, after last-year's earth-shatteringly awesome platinum prize (free exclusive Punch-Out game? Hells yeah!) anything short of that was going to be a let-down.

I'm back at Platinum again for this year and I still have 60+ surveys left to do, but I'll save them for next year. I would've finished sooner, but was lazy and put off starting redeeming surveys for coins until a few hours ago.

Now, I just have to hope they'll release some good rewards, so I can redeem my 1310 coins within the next 2 years.

Was looking over my coins, and it looks like they gave 3 extra surveys last year worth 30+20+20 coins, so it might not even be necessary to reach 600 if we wait for extra surveys.

Also, something I just finally noticed is I never got any coins for registering Meteos, even though Nintendo is the only company logo on the case and it came with a Nintendo registration code -- I looked back at their list of pre-12/2008 games, and it's not on it, so it seems the game was dressed up to look like a Nintendo-published game yet isn't.

@iphys: Yea, I thought about that too, waiting on the bonus surveys, problem is that you don't know if or when they'll come. That'd mean I'd have to check Club Nintendo every once in awhile. This way, I can just be lazy the rest of the year unless something good pops into the store, and if for some reason, I forget to access my CN account, I'll still be Platinum by June 30, 2011. =)

Worst game ever I played it once.

I'm likely not going to claim that stupid calendar as I'm just mad over Amazon hosing me on shipping time so I lost the prize I really did earn by buying stuff. : If I get it, I suppose it could go on a wall, but it would be a good annoying reminder so I dunno.

@J.K.: Why don't you just redeem for the calendar, its free anyways and hopefully someone somewhere will be willing to part with their statue. ...or you could eBay it, I'm sure someone would want it, not everyone buys enough games to get a reward from Club Nintendo. What exactly happened with Amazon, did you not get a game on time because you picked free shipping(that's what I normally do)?

I think these official nintendo figurines sound much better than some hat. They may be short, but who knows how much they'll fetch on ebay... :3
