I want to know if any of you had any relatives when you were growing up who would call you regularly by a nickname. One they chose for you, obviously...if you told your uncle to call you Supa Souja or something, I don't care whether or not he actually did it.

So I'd like to get an idea of all the different things people were called (either by relatives or close family friends, older than you in either case) when you were growing up.

There's a reason I ask, and I'll tell you later. I wouldn't want to tell you now and skew the results.

Bah, I'm not walking into this one so that you can change my screen name to match some old uncle's bad sense of humor. Not that I had any bad nicknames, mind you.

At least, not any as bad as "Chicken" or "Philzo."

I don't know about childhood nicknames..

When I had long hair and played football people called me Sunshine.

And then when I got a hair cut I became Big Al.

I can promise you that I'm not going to use this for any nefarious purpose. If you really don't want to disclose everything, feel free to say that you had a friend/brother/sister who went by whatever nickname you had; I'll have no way of knowing the difference.

briguy (my name is brian sooo), brine, and brinj (the origin of my username)
my friends call me crazier things such as:
sap sack
prune juice
Mr. gayo (at one point a bunch of kids in my class thought i was gay for some reason [I AM STRAIGHT])
Butthole bill (dont ask why, i dont know myself)

I was always called "a.c." or "snook" turns out a snook is one of those deep water fish that are really ugly. My mom had no clue. Some still call me snook

Squiddums, Tickles, CRIT (became my non-internets game, ie for Zelda and Earthbound and all that jazz), Inki, Baby Boo, Huggiespeeps, Houjin Head (friends), and many, many more. Also I must say that at school I don't know the names of pretty much anyone outside of my year, just nicknames I gave them. It's sorta cool because not many people know the names I give them, so they have to describe the person. I am a pain.

It's usually just SeanyBoy which is used by pretty much everyone, or sometimes even Lamp for short off my Xbox live name (Sgt Lampshade) by my close mates.

I didn't have a nickname as a child (apart from Dad who called me 'little shit' quite a bit), but I sure took fun in dishing them out.

My family used to call me weirdadam. Most ladies tend to call me unbelievably attractive guy. Not really the best nicknames though since they're longer than my actual name. Whatever.

My family also refers to me by first and middle name a lot, though that's not really a nickname.

I always wanted a childhood nickname, but the I didn't get one until college when I became known mysteriously as... The Clam. Because someone commented on my muscle, and someone else thought he meant mussel.

Girl 1: Smartypants, Apricot
Boy 1: B-Boy, Bales
Girl 2: Cranberry, Cutie Patootie
Boy 2: Peanut, Squeak
Girl 3: Peach
(yes, I have a lot of kids)

Uh... Ax, Miniman, minial. I'm stuck in childhood. Ax is probably most common.
