I'm sure you have all thought about this, because there are so many possibilities! But what characters would you like to see in the next SMB, assuming they make one?
For me: 1. Shadow 2. Knuckles 3. Mega Man 4. Rayman 5. Spyro
I'm sure they are plenty more, but those are just off the top of my head
Raiden or Cyber Ninja, to go with Snake. Tails, to go with Sonic. Ridley, to go with Samus. Travis Touchdown and some NMH boss Jack from MadWorld The titular team of Zack and Wiki (as a single character).
I also want to see a boss fight against Kraid, too large to fit on the screen, just like Super Metroid.
1. i would like to see Dark Samus make an appearance more than any other nintendo character (metroid Prime 2&3) 2. Amaterasu (Okami) 3. Jenosa Arma (Scurge: Hive) 4. Tassadar (starcraft) for no real reason 5. the reappearence of MEWTWO!
Bomberman, Arthur from Ghosts 'n' Goblins, Earthworm Jim, Joe Musashi, Ryu, Mega Man, Clyde Radcliffe, Cloud Strife, Sub Zero, Superfrog, Monty Mole, Simon Belmont, Leon S Kennedy, Bub and Bob, Pac Man, the guy from Turrican, Blaze Fielding, Gilius Thunderhead, Alex Kidd, Conrad B Hart, Quote, Giana Giana, and, of course, Guybrush Threepwood.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Bomberman and Belmont turn up, but I doubt we'll see any of the others!

The more characters they add the harder it is for them to make sure they are all balanced. The fact that the game is as balanced as it is with already so many characters is a testament to how great of a game brawl is. I'm sure it takes a lot of time and trial and error to create each character so that they don't end up being overpowered.

Your absolutely right! I never took that into account. In that case, if nintendo does intend on making another game, I hope they take enough time to be able to include a substantial amount of characters. Even if all they did was make another game with just more characters and maps I'd buy it!

Meta Knight is basically a god. I wouldn't call Brawl balanced, but unless you are playing tournaments, balance is unimportant. The unbalanced nature is part of what makes it so fun, for me. I like picking crappier characters as a natural handicap against friends who don't own the game or play often.

I have to disagree. I think the characters are pretty balanced. While some might have stronger moves, they lack in speed. While some might have speed, they lack in power, etc. Overall, with maybe a few minor exceptions, I think the characters are pretty balanced. It all depends on who your good with.
young Link from Majora's Mask,because Nintendo would give you the option to change him into Deku Link,Goron Link,Zora Link,& for his Final Smash he turns into the Fierce Deity link & you can go on a rampage!!!!!!! oh yeah that would be my character of choice.
1. Geno 2. Bowser Jr. 3. Ridley, Dark Samus, or Trace (I liked Trace, lol) 4. Tails 5. Tom Nook just for the heck of it, lol 6. Louie 7. And Eureka just because I like her, lol.
