i mean lets face it the day of console gaming is done. in a year the wii u will only be good for netflix and brawl. with the occasional mario players.

That's not true. There will always be a market for console gaming. Look at the console vs. PC issue from before mobile gaming even existed. PCs could and still can produce better graphics and larger worlds than consoles, yet consoles stayed alive. Actually, their sales increased. So no, the console market will never die.

most consoles barely survived. its was the fps that saved them. pcs cant make a good fps without lagg. microsoft's release of halo kept it alive for instance . by partnering with bungie they jumped from pc gaming to console quickly. nintendo knows better than anyone handheld games can crushconsoles. look at what happened to sony when the gameboy got released . and you don't hear a peep from sega.

Wait, are you serious? Would you like to think about that for a second?

Now, if you still disagree with me, the PlayStation was at one time the best-selling console of all time, and it only had a few FPS's. Then, the PS2 became the best-selling console of all time, and it had only a few more FPS's than the original.

Couldn't help but bump this thread after google made their April Fools Day joke with a somewhat similar idea. On this thread, people very negative. On that news story, people think it's great. Don't fool yourselves. A fleshed out pokemon game on a smartphone where you can only collect specific pokemon based on your gps coordinates would make a lot of money. Smarter people than me could flesh out all the details of gameplay, but this is a sound idea.
