I'm really surprised that some idiot would show up to a big movie premier and gun down 14 people...

What happened sucks. Hope the Justice system is swift with life imprisonment. My heart goes out to the families of people killed or injured.

With that said nintendolife isn't the venue as per the mode to have these sorts of talks for whatever reason.

I would hope not. This seems to be completely out of the blue. On the news it seems that this guy had no prior offensives and for whatever reason snapped. Thought dude had to have this planes due to the amount of weaponry he had on him and the way his what he was wearing was described to be bane like.

I do this may kill any box office chances the movie may have had for better or worse due to parents being reluctant to take their kids. (Though I wouldn't reccomend any of the Nolan films for kids anyway).

My problem is how excatly did he get into the theatre in the first place. I guess they thought he was dressed up for the mo ie but even my local movie theatre checks props in to see if they are weapons before allowing the person in.

Things are going to change so this won't happen again while it could happen, like terrorists blowing up the New World Trade Center, the probability of it happening again is low, hopefully.

We're about 10 - 15 minutes out of Aurora, and I have some colleagues who intended to attend the premiere. It's very scary and I'm hoping they're all okay. Regardless, a lot of people got hurt and killed, so even if my friends are alright, somebody's friends (and family members) are not. And that's awful.

From what I've heard he knocked at the exit door, and somebody let him directly into the theater. So he didn't go through the lobby, didn't buy a ticket, didn't talk to any employees. Just directly into the room itself.

I wouldnt be surprised if that was how he did it. Whenever I go to the movies I always see people sneaking in that way.

Sad thing is now that movie wont be remember how great it was but the movie that that guy went on a shooting rampage in a movie theater.

I don't think it will affect the movie. Its.a horrible event. I wouldn't connect the two. This could have happened in a shopping mall. A terror terrible crime.The movie i have not seen yet but critics reviews are not amazing. 86%. Ledger really was something special regardless of his official role he carried the previous filM.

My heart goes out to those who have been killed, injured or suffered a loss of a family member or friend. I really hope something like this never happens again. Who would let him through the emergency exit anyway? Even worse, when the police tried to search his apartment. He rigged it with booby traps like explosives and people nearby were evacuated. As if this lunatic hasn't caused enough trauma and loss.

So many lives that shouldn't have been tarnished...

On the topic of the film. It was absolutely amazing. Marion Cotillard and Anne Hathaway were perfect as spoilerface and Catwoman.
And that ending. Man. Need to see it again...

What a tragedy. I can't even begin to imagine what it would have been like in that theater during that event. So very sorry to the families and loved ones this has affected. My prayers go out to them, and I hope nothing like this ever happens again.

I had gone to see it the other night and it was great. A lot of twists and turns I never saw coming, and the ending was amazing.
