The Spectacular Spider-Man
The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes
Shaun the Sheep
The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius

These are the few cartoons I've seen that are still as enjoyable to me today as they were/would've been when I was a child.

Damn oddly you had to remind me that spectacular spiderman and Avengers is gone. Than it reminds Green lantern and Young Justice have been cancelled.

I used to love Camp Lazlo Foster's Home for imaginary Friends, Chowder and Flapjack on CN. Now I only really watch Adventure Time on CN.

Ed Eddy n Eddy
Rockos Modern Life
Sheep in the Big City

These are 3 shows I feel are better now then at a younger age.

Apparently, Ren and Stimpy should be there, but I honestly don't get the whole "groundbreaking" horse crap people play it off as. I see it as a bunch of juvenile jokes tossed in with some off attempts at adult humor (not that much, and when it happens it's just crass), wrapped up in surprisingly limited animation.

Agreed. Although, Courage the Cowardly Dog was one of those shows that I found a bit disturbing when I was little.

That show always freaked the heck out of me.

You all forgot to mention this one little cartoon called:

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

Wait... There's a whole thread about that...

I guess we'll spare this one from pony.

Other than that, I remember this cartoon called Loonatics Unleashed. Greatest. Thing. Ever.

Yeah, I don't necessarily have anything against people being allowed to discuss MLP in this thread, as it is a cartoon, but it has so many passionate fans that it can sustain its own thread.

I loved Loonatics Unleashed back when it was on, too. Rewatched a couple of episodes again recently and the show didn't appear to have aged well, but I won't pass final judgment until I have the time to go through the entire series again. ...Which probably won't happen. Ever.

Also apologies in advance to any fans of Phineas and Ferb, but I recently sat through an entire episode with my younger cousin and hated every minute of it. That show just feels completely soulless to me.

^I feel the same way about Phineas and Ferb, and may as well toss in Adventure Time, Gumball and My Little Pony.

Only new cartoons I really enjoyed have been Regular Show, Dan Vs and Sym-Bionic Titan (holy crap that was the best typo ever)

Sorry about that. I get a little depressed every time I think about that, too.

I'm just now finding out that Young Justice was cancelled. Haven't watched it (get on that, Netflix!), but man, Greg Weisman cannot catch a break, can he?

As for kids shows:

  • Dexter's Lab (a timeless classic)
  • The Animaniacs (If you haven't seen this, you don't know good cartoons)
  • Freakazoid (Yes, I remember this, as should you)
  • Pinky & the Brain (It's like oldschool Stewie has his own show, but he's a mouse, and it's for kids, lol)
  • Ed, Edd, n' Eddy (Ed is the best thing ever)
  • Disney's House of Mouse (short lived, but great)
  • Reboot (gotta reference Toonami, lol)
  • Pokémon (Kanto)
  • Fairly Odd Parents (the only good Nickeloden comedy, besides Rugrats, that's actually any good)
  • Avatar: the Last Airbender (One of the best western action cartoons out there)
  • Gargoyles (Another one of the best western action cartoons out there. The first two seasons, at least)
  • Sym-Bionic Titan (The only worthwhile thing to come from CN since it's glory days)
  • Teen Titans (This was always surprisingly entertaining)

There are probably a few I'm missing, but this is good for now.

What do you know, I did forget one:

  • Garfield & Friends (Ok, it's probably just your average Saturday morning fare, but I love Garfield, so I'm listing it, lol. Definitely better than CN's recent "the Garfield Show", at least)

Every friday I'd run to the TV at 8pm and watch an awesome line-up of cartoons until I went to bed. My favorties were Dexter's Lab, Powerpuff Girls, Ed, Edd 'n Eddy, Samurai Jack, and Kids Next Door. It was nothing short of awesome seeing the cartoon characters themselves host the show, I was ecstatic when Mojo jojo and Eustace from Courage the Cowardly Dog hosted; being big fans of them. The only character I wanted to see host but never did was Aku, but I know that Samurai Jack himself did it though.

CN is less than a shadow of its former self nowadays.

I love all those cartoons but CN still has some good shows like The Amazing World of Gumball,ADVENTURE TIME, and Regular Show

Except for this one. That's an anime.

And you missed Megas XLR, the best parody of an anime ever.

Oh yeah, and SWAT Kats. That was a great show. Like Batman but with a lighter tone. And cats. And cat puns.

Speaking of Batman, I thought you liked Batman: The Animated Series, @RR529?

@CanisWolfred That show was my childhood. I loved Batman waaaayyy more than Superman and thought that show was so cool.
On the topic of Batman, I love the series THE Batman. It was one of the coolest shows for a while.
Regular Show is probably my favorite cartoon. Nice references, crude humor, awesome 80's music.

With great mustache comes great responsibility.
