Here's what I wanna see remade for the 3DS or something.

Metroid II: Return Of Samus
Zelda: Links Awakening
Zelda: OOA & OOS

Be patient, my friend. The best things in life are worth waiting for.

I'm back (for the moment)!

I'd like to see some Gameboy games remade on Wiiware like Kid Icarus 2 or the Super Mario Land games. Heck an All-Star style Super Mario Land collection on the DS would be awesome.

I wish they would make them(classic arcade games) all compatible with the wii remote.

No, because Nintendo is busy making new games...and other remakes

It's strange how classic Nintendo console games get remade and rereleased so many times, but almost no Gameboy games have received the same treatment. I very strongly agree that Metroid 2 could do with a remake, as it's an important piece of the story that's simply not easily enough available to more recent series fans. And more Zelda is always a good thing, barring Phillips involvement, of course.

Being able to play old Gameboy games is one reason I still have my GBA. There are too many classics out there for me not to have something that can play the old GB games. Than if I really wanted to go retro I could just use my original Gameboy that I got back in 91 I think it was when they first came out.

That multi-GB in 3D idea is nice, but Nintendo has been a complete pig about their classic titles compared to virtually any other of big boys out there. You'll get (Allstars-SNES aside) a rehash of A game on A system for the price of a new title. The closest they've done to give any justice to the 'classics' is the NES Classics and they hosed us on what we got compared to Japan, they were $20 a pop, and offered nothing other a save feature. I wish they'd grow a brain and pull a Sega, it's the only wise thing Sega has done in a long time -- multi-game packages for handhelds and consoles like that Sonic Genesis Compo thing on PS3 with 40 Gen and 10 arcade/sms games to unlock, and on PSP it got something around 30 of them on a UMD. They really should do this, perhaps emphasize those lost 'black box' games of the 8bit era and some of their neat GB efforts into bundles they really can't milk to death so easy like Mario and Zelda. But again, they're Nintendo, not Sega, so they're not going to do the right thing with stuff like this.

No, they aren't. Which wouldn't be such a problem if we at least had a Virtual Handheld service for access to classic Gameboy games. VC holds up reasonably well for access to old console games (much more expensive than a collection of course, but still better than nothing), but there's STILL no such thing for handhelds. Fix this already, Nintendo!

Why are you asking this question? If you want them to be on the 3DS, why do you expect them now?

I doubt Nintendo will put much effort into reviving old GB games. You can get most GB games and accessories for cheap. They were gonna make a compilation of all the Mega Man games back in the GBC days but that never happened. Some GB "ReBirths" would be nice.

Perhaps you can, but you can also get a lot of NES, SMS, etc games cheap too. It's not the cheapness if you luck into those rates, but the fact it's a finished product and easy money as you don't have to develop a new title.

There are a lot of games that could use a remake. The only one I can remember out of my head were Pokémon FireRed/LeafGreen and now HeartGold/SoulSilver.
