Topic: Can the Worst of Enemies Become the Best of Friends?

Sonic is homeless, and needs somewhere to stay, that's it.

Right. Except this topic is mainly about laying down arms and learning to get along as friends rather than get at each others' throats as enemies. Well, I guess I picked Sonic as a specific theme to the topic, but...as with any other topic, this isn't a (fictional) people-bashing thread! And the way it sounds is that most of you would rather be enemies than friends. And that kinda defeats the purpose of this thread

Yes and it has happen before. Like for example, Nintendo and Sega. They used to be fierce rivals during the 4th gen Console War and now they work together.

@NintendoPurist.... dude even BIOWARE couldnt revive Sonic. The Dark Brotherhood was so cheesy it made me want to throw up. Mario RPGs are funny, have great characters, etc, that game (with Bioware behind it, only on of the best RPG devs) cant revive Sonic, only a true 2D game with NO FLIPPIN STORY can revive the BlueBlur, because that is exactly what he is and likes best a BLUR! Running full blast and having fun. Mario needs to stay Mario and Sonic needs to be Sonic again, done deal. No mixing to save Segas butts. It brings down Mario games.

This is exactly why I have no hope for Sonic if Needlemouse flops. BioWare is one of the best game developers out there, and if they can't make a good game with Sonic, nobody can.

How can they make a good sonic game when they turned it into a turn based RPG? It's blasphemy!

Sonic is about platforming, true, but Mario was all about platforming until Square Enix jumped in and made it a RPG. Think of it like that, but Mario wasn't half dead.

Good point, The new Mario RPGs (Bowser's Inside Story, as an example) were fairly well done.

Mario RPGs are AWESOME. All of them. I LOVE the old school Sonic Games. Especially the first 2 and Sonic CD. Everthing since just has been horrible and I HATE Sonics friends, they are all....... well, things I dont want to say on a kid friendly site. Mario has some cool friends (especially Bowser, come on you know they like eachother to some point). Mario and Friends are fun, Sonic is great, but his friends outside of Tails, Knuckles and Shadow, they need to stay away from the Plumbers.

The better question: Can the worst of friends become the best of enemies?

Answer that and there is nothing you can't understand.

This is a poor statement, it's not Sonic's fault the Bioware game sucked. Bioware clearly wasn't all it was cracked up to be.

But not all hope is lost, the great company Square made Mario's first foray into the RPG realm a poor one. So in this case Sonic is following Mario's lead, perhaps Sega will make a great Sonic RPG in a few years.

I'm gonna let that slide this time since you clearly don't know what you're talking about.
