You might have Swine Flu. Have you ate Mexican bacon lately?

Sounds nasty. I don't think I'd worry about swine flu. It's recieved enough attention there are going to be a lot of people convinced they have it this fall. Really, though, see a doc. .

I've had weird things like that. TBH, I think some people (like you and me) just have weird bugs in their systems that come and go. It's probably nothing serious, but to be on the safe side I'd see a doc or install a virus remover.

Lord I hate how everyone with a cough, runny nose, or dog with a limp believes they have swine flu.

It's making me sick. (And don't say maybe I have swine flu!)

Oh and a forum on a gaming site is not the place for medical advice. I'm almost positive certain people go to school for long periods of time and set up offices for this kind of thing.

Could be a Flu. Throat, dizziness, vertigo... all present symptomatic of Flu, or even a bad common cold. Got any fever, aches, or stiffness? Did your throat hurt first - perhaps just a little scratchiness or rawness?

When i was in bed 10 mins ago i couldn't get up....i guess it was due to stiffness....yes you have that right.

I was moving around in bed and i just couldn't get up.

If you have a fever, then its the flu. There are different types of flu, so you shouldn't be scared. Basically if you throw up or have diarrhea, then you should see a doctor. Its important to rest, because when you rest, your body is able to heal itself. When you sleep, your cells do maintenance and will fight whatever infection you might have.

If YOU DON"T have a fever, then its just a cold. Resting applies here as well, and so does drinking lots of liquids. If you have mucus in your throat, then warm liquids will help.

@Sean007s: I am glad to hear that you are feeling a little better today. I do hope that you get well soon. It sounds like you just have a regular cold so try not to worry about it too much. You will be fine.

Yeah and nobody here knows, we're already discovering this.

Now go find someone that does (it's not like you don't know who, the topic ended with the title) or don't expect us to care. Most of us anyway, I know I don't care if you're not willing to seek proper help.

Wow I was just about to consult someone with this problem but also Age would be nice to include Mainly because Some things are more prone to that age group. And there is way to much to put about what matters so I'll just leave it at that.

Without a definitive diagnosis from a doctor, you have no way of knowing this. Now a couple of things, are you running a fever? You haven't answered that question one way or another yet. If so, it's more than just a cold. Plus, a sore throat can be a symptom of something else. If it persists for more than 5 to 7 days, it could be Strep (there is a quick test to diagnose this) and you need to get that taken care of with antibiotics. If you let it go untreated it could cause other problems for you down the line.

So, if you're running a fever, I'd go see the doctor. If your sore throat persists, I'd go see the doctor.

I read online that more people die from regular flu than the Swine Flu. The media and people just freak out because there is no vaccine for it yet...

It is typically recommended to see a doctor if you have serious symptoms, or if it lasts for more than about 5 days. Somebody already mentioned it, but Zicam is great. Since you already have a cold however, Zicam will only shorten it by a few days. But if you use Zicam when you start getting an itchy, sore throat (before a cold), then it will typically prevent the cold altogether.

The best advice you have received fom this thread so far: go see a doctor. Seriously, if you couldn't even get out of bed then get thee to a physician. asap. I'm rarely sick, but I've never known anyone close to me who's gotten the flu and hasn't even physically been able to get out of bed.
