Topic: Can someone help me out?....i need a doctor....

I know this will be WAY OFF TOPICC from gaming but yesterday it started when i woke up at 8:00pm(i slept the whole day through after school..)

ok so i woke up and basically i had a BAD BAD Cough......and my throat was hurting aswell...
Now today i got sent home from school due to feeling very very weak and very sick.

I just woke up 10 minues ago.....however i could not get out of bed at all cuz i felt extremely weak.
Eventually i did get up and once i got up.....i felt drunk.....i felt like i lost balance and i was reaaaaaally dizzy.

This happens to me EVERY year but i have not seen anyone who talks about it.....and i searched google but no luck.

Thanks to anyone who gets this sickness and can give me a name for what it is so i can cure it..

Could be a Flu. Throat, dizziness, vertigo... all present symptomatic of Flu, or even a bad common cold. Got any fever, aches, or stiffness? Did your throat hurt first - perhaps just a little scratchiness or rawness?

I am hoping i ain't got swine flu or something..

When i was in bed 10 mins ago i couldn't get up....i guess it was due to stiffness....yes you have that right.

I was moving around in bed and i just couldn't get up.

Try seeing a doctor. I felt like this last May. The doctor said I had sore muscles and it was just a virus. It lasted about a week for me. Hoped this helped.

Yeah, but not being able to get out of bed could also mean you have two broken legs. Not the case here, clearly... point is, details help. Fever? Stuffy nose? Appetite? Etc? Allergies? You said this happens every year - same time every year?

Huh! Lately I've been having a cough as well, and have been sneezing a bit. I hope it passes, for you and for others.

instead of consulting Dr. Internet, try going to your normal doctor if you're really that worried about it and see what they have to say about it. none of us are doctors, man; no one should trust health advice from strangers on the internet.

that said, this happens around the same time every year? sounds like it's just the flu or a cold. i get them every year when the weather changes too, and I'm also very prone to vertigo weeks before and after the major cold/flu symptoms show up/go away, which sucks hella. i can live with the normal symptoms of a cold or the flu, but the vertigo is what really puts me out of commission. :/

I'm starting to feel sort of what you're describing. I'll let you know if mine gets more similar to what you're feeling.

EDIT: And Sean, go drink some Gatorade. If you have a bad fever (101+), see a "real" doc like tbd says. Don't listen to ANYone on here that tells you to take so much as a Tylenol. They don't know your med history - and you should not get into it here.

That thing of you saying that you feel drunk is what I usually have when I'm sitting down or sleeping and then suddenlyI start feeling like that.
But this happens to me like once in every three months.
I think you're missing some potassium maybe, try eating some bananas.

@Sean007s: Self-diagnosis can be very dangerous dude, get to the quacks and quick. Phone 'em up first thing tomorrow and get an appointment. I hope it's nowt serious.

I struggle to get out of bed also, but that's because I'm a lazy bar steward.

I usually have Airborne when I have a cold. And I use Zicam, too, but those're for cold purposes only (and to keep you immune when someone else is sick).
