Heres an update on the situation. Campos have been rescued, meaning 12 teams are definitely going to be in bahrain. USF1 are on the verge of bankrupcy, and Stefan are probably going to replace them, with Villenueve and either Ralf Schumacher or Chandhok driving for them. As soon as i get conformation, we can start pickin drivers

Gosh. I'm somewhat oblivious to what goes on behind the scenes in F1, perhaps I should start doing some research, it sounds like things have really been shaken up this season.

I find it amusing that a team has already gone bankrupt before competing in 1 race, but that is one of the reasons why I love F1, it is a farce of a a sport but that only makes it more entertaining like a real life soap opera. Role on the new season, I'm looking forward to seeing if Shumacher can do the business again, i've always been a fan of his 'win at any costs' style and attitude.

It does seem as if Kazuki Nakajima has signed with Stefan. He must have slipped under my radar.

@Machu: This kind of thing doesn't usually happen, but this year a lot has changed.

Think my other half might be interested she's much more a F1 fan than me !!!!
Not sure how this is going to work though ? if say we are only having two drivers , theres a big chance of duplicate teams ? ie schu & ham , ham & butt ?
What about seeding drivers into four sections from last years standings and we have to pick one from each section ?

i actually really like that idea. Maybe a rule about only being allowed one previous world champion?

Ive sent everyone who has joined an e-mail to tell them. If they do not get back to me in time, i will draw them a driver out of each group that has not been chosen by any other team. These will be thier drivers until they change them.

I'm still here, and thanks for the email, I'll pick myself a team tonight.

Blimey what a anti climax , thats the most boring circuit in living memory , the new rule changes have made the sport even less exciting ? not sure why they are intent on making F1 so sleep inducing ?

It does amaze me that they had that circuit as there opening fanfare to the season ? i think they had a chance of gaining alot of new fans this season with Schuey back & button/hamilton ect and what did all the new viewers get to see ! a circuit that looks like its a carpark in a building site and .........well hmm that was it !!!

If anyone is still interested in joining the game, you still can. We will be having a European Series competition where you score points on races in europe, so you can enter that. Just let me know and give me your team by the morning before qualifying for the first european race.
