just make a list of what your favorite co-op games are
genesis- streets of rage series
snes- legend of a mystical ninja
n64- perfect dark
gamecube- timesplitters 2
ps2- champions of norrath
wii- brawl
xbox 360- portal 2 or left 4 dead 2 valve is genius

Left 4 Dead, beat-em-ups, and Halo 2 are like 95% of my knowledge of co-op tbh. I was trying to think of some and realized that.

WHy not

NES — Contra (I cant tell you how many hours I spent playing this game with my brother and friends during the NES days)
SNES — Super Off Road (Again another one that I would play all the time with my brother and friends besides gotta love the addition of the Toyota jingle)
Genesis — Streets of Rage 2
N64 — GoldenEye
Gamecube — Soul Caliber II
Playstation — Tekken 3
Playstation 2 — Champions of Norrath
Xbox 360 — Borderlands/Left 4 Dead (Cant choose just one here so I will go with 2)
Wii — Mario Kart Wii
3DS — Mario Kart 7
Wii U — For now I will have to go with Nintendoland

Co-op games specifically. Not just any multiplayer game.

I'll contribute to this thread more, but for now on PS3 I'll say Uncharted 3.

@Tasuki I'd argue that MH3U is better than Mario Kart in terms of content. But for the flow of the experience itself, I see why you'd go for MK7.

I am sure it is but I have yet to experience co-op in MHU so until I do MK7 is the one for 3DS.

I was just about to say you could probably list a Monster Hunter game for almost every console, then you beat me to it.

Definitely have to agree the series is one of the best for co-op though.
