2. Treasure Planet
Incredibly underated film that suffered from some poor Marketing and being the follow up from the disastrous Atlantis. Plays with some fun ideas and one of the few Disney films to have a protagonist with some real issues and a villian who isn't simply "evil". Jim's flashback and his relationship with Long John Smith will make anyone weep (maybe). Gets maybe a tad too action packed towards the end

I was starting to think I was the only one who loved this movie. Nice list.

@RebeccaGunn: Switch 6 and 7 with 2 and 1, and switch A goofy movie with Lady and the Tramp and that would be my list

6. Tarzan: A great example as animation as a form of storytelling. Phil Collin's soundtrack, however, is pretty excruciating (although it has a lot to do with how you feel about Phil Collins)

i thought the soundtrack was the best part of that movie and it's what makes it one of my favorites!

The Lion King is the all-time best one. I remember my mum bought the Aladdin VHS. At the time I thought that was the greatest Disney movie ever, but then there I saw a trailer for the Lion King on the tape. My sister and I were blown away and once it hit theatres we wined and wined and even made a huge banner in protest until my parents took us to see that film.

I was 7 years old and it was the only movie that ever made me cry. The scene were Simba's father has been run over by a herd of wildebeest just tore us kids apart back then. What dit they think we were made of? Solid rock without any emotions.

Donald Duck in Math World! I love it when they discuss the ancient mathmaticians!!!

.....not. I liked Hunchback of Notre Dame, but Mulan is my favorite.

Just let it happen.

Prep and Landing was done in-house at Disney, Lassetter likely oversaw it in some form but he works for both Disney and Pixar these days

1. Prep and Landing was made in house as disney wants to start making short animated films again.
2. Disney Classics can only pertain to old style Hand drawn animation.
