And Pixar doesn't count. What are the best classic animated Disney movies, in your opinion? Here's my list: 1. Aladdin: Amazing animation, outstanding voice work for all characters, funny as heck, but still has that Disney heart and charm. Also Robin Williams' best movie, IMO. 2. Beauty and the Beast: Though it has questionable morals, (a beautiful girl gets kidnapped and seduced by a giant hulking bear thing that wins her over by buying her gifts and fancy clothes? All in the hopes of making out with her?) it's still a gorgeous movie with a great soundtrack and unforgettable cast of characters. 3. The Lion King: a lot of different layers to this movie. Sometimes its touching, sometimes it's hillarious, and sometimes it's down right sad. But that's what makes it a classic: it captures everything great about Disney. 4. Treasure Planet: Criminally under-rated. Incredible art direction, outsanding voice work and some seriously great characters. It's not the best, but it's one of my all time favorites. 5. Little Mermaid: Though the animation is really starting to show its age, it probably has the best collection of songs in a Disney movie, and it's pretty funny at times. 6. Tarzan: A great example as animation as a form of storytelling. Phil Collin's soundtrack, however, is pretty excruciating (although it has a lot to do with how you feel about Phil Collins) 7. The Emperor's New Groove: The funniest Disney movie, with none of that sappy fluff. This is just a great comedy, and the voice acting and steller artwork doesn't hurt, either.

1. Pinocchio* 2. The Little Mermaid* 3. Beauty and the Beast* 4. Aladdin* 5. The Lion King 6. Pocahontas 7. The Hunchback of Notre Dame* (visually the best) 8. Hercules* 9. Mulan 10. Tarzan
Well, there's always the fantastic four of the early nineties (The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and the Lion King), and the fantastic releases at the beginning of Disney's history (Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Bambi, Cinderella, Fantastia, etc.), but, although Beauty and the Beast was my favorite for many years, I have to say that my favorite animated Disney film not made by Pixar is the Hunchback of Notre Dame. This movie is beautifully animated, has a wonderful soundtrack (the Jester hits some CRAZY HIGH notes (Castrati, maybe? lol)), and, the Hunchback of Notre Dame even outdoes Pixar in one respect, I believe. Pixar is wonderful at taking very adult situations and making them understandable to children (like the old man's wife in up not ever being able to have children). In the Hunchback of Notre Dame the Priest Judge Claude Frollo actually sings a song about how he is being sexually tempted by Esmerelda, and God either need to make her his wife, or he's going to burn her. So there's a song in the Hunchback of Notre Dame that actually sings about a priests lustful desires while still making it presentable and appropriate for children. That, my friends, is no small task!!!! The humor in the Hunchback of Notre Dame is also fantastic!!!! So, that's why I think that the Hunchback of Notre Dame is the best non-Pixar animated movie that Disney has ever made!!!!

1.Beauty and the beast 2. Aladdin 3. The Lion King 4. Mulan 5. Cinderella 6. Lilo and Stitch 7. Alice in wonderland 8. Fantasia 9. Hunchback of notre dame 10. Snow white
1. Emperor's New Groove 2. Aladdin 3. The Jungle Book 4. The Lion King 5. The Sword in the Stone 6. The Hunchback of Notre Dame 7. The Aristocats 8. Beauty and the Beast 9. Mulan 10. The Fox and the Hound
I would definitely have put Lilo and Stitch in the two spot, but there's a lot of CGI in that movie.
How could I have forgotten Lilo & Stitch? I loved that movie the first time I saw it in theatres. However, Hunchback is the best Disney movie (imo), and a somewhat dark one at that.
Aladin, all the way! Then Toy Story, then The Lion King. The rest are kinda sketchy for me. I liked 'em, but I can't get myself to put one above the other. In fact, I can't think of that many that I didn't like. Just The Little Mermaid, Pocahontas, and any and every sequel they put out.
