whats your favorite and least favorite story in a game? usually if the story is terrible, it pesters me to the point where i cant play the game anymore BEST: The World Ends With You well i liked this story because it begins with you not knowing what the heck is going on. as the story progresses every puzzle piece slowly fits into place. each character has an individual story and personality that you cant help but feel intrigued by. and if thats not enough, they easily have more than 5 plot twists in the game, as well as a huge surprise at the end of the game
WORST: Shadow the Hedgehog the main problem with this story is that im constantly, utterly confused by it. the whole thing where you can choose from 3 missions, Good, Evil, or normal, just makes the whole thing incomprehensible. theres no backstory and pretty much every character is blander than rice krispies. the story really tops off this terrible game

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
Best:either Beyond Good and Evil (engrossing story of political intrigue and government conspiracy mixed with the secret angent atmosphere and lovable characters) or Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (absolutely epic. one of the best fantasy stories i've played/read/watched in years. with themes of greed, racism, and humanity's natural self-serving mentality, the game's story was deep and fun. and it was SO cool when you would have scenes of ENORMOUS battlefields filled with tigers, lions, cats, dragons, hawks, ravens, unicorns, wyverns, and humans. it was also incredibly fun to watch a small band of C-level mercenaries turn into a mighty army that saves the world with that same mercenary troop at its core, but now with each one worth 100x what he was before.)
Worst: i'm gonna have to say the megaman games. (Dr. Wily builds robots. these robots are bad. the good robot now has to go beat them all then beat Dr. Wily. games 2-infinity: Dr. Wily is back. I hear its amazing when the famous purple stuffed worm in flap-jaw space with the tuning fork does a raw blink on hari-kiri rock!!! I NEED SCISSORS!!! 61!!!
Best: FF7 Worst: GTAIV (it was interesting at the start, maybe the first 1/4. Then I found myself just skipping the cutscenes, I didnt even bother finishing the game then, it just got to the point of........ meh)
Best: Okami or Vagrant Story. Worst: Any Final Fantasy excluding IV, VI, and IX. X had a decent storyline but the characters were so horrible that they ruined it.
Best: Mother 3 and Metal Gear Solid 2. Both show what can be done only in a video game when it comes to story-telling by using the nature of video games and the very mechanics of them to tell their tale.
Worst: I guess most NES games.
