Since my car broke down, I've been low on money, so I'm looking for another job that pays well, but I can choose my own hours. I decided to go with video game testing, but I'm not sure how to become a tester. I've looked it up, but every website I find is like an infomercial, so I don't really know what to choose or how to go about doing it. I'm looking for people who have "been there, done that" to tell me what I'm supposed to do and give me advice. Just so you know, I'm not stupid; I know it's not all "fun and games", I'm just looking for another job, really.
@grenworthshero: this was a pretty good article on being a tester. HowStuffWorks.com also is usually full of solid info... according to both, it's networking, living near a testing center, and willingness to put up with BS that's important. Chatham's the guy on the forums you'd want to talk to about it; he's a VG tester iirc.
