Now, what would you do if that were to happen in your country?

LZ is actually right here -- although I like video games, I can't help but notice that it hinders my creativity. I could spend my time reading, writing stories or drawing -- that's the stuff I did when my mom used to tell me to turn off the SNES. I dunno, movies and video games keep people from contributing as much as they could, although I like both.

What an horrible regime, they just didn't ban Video Games, they banned almost every entertainment in general. This is almost vile as a crime against humanity.

I dunno. Some of the "entertainment" we watch is even more vile

Banning people from watching stuff like 'Meet the Spartans' and 'Disaster Movie'? That sounds like an act of humanitarianism to me.

Are you kidding me? Sports and dancing should totally be censored due to their acts of violence and....er....bad stuff
...Sigh.... This is the Internet, where people began to act less human and make fun of serious issues and true suffering. People are flogged for dancing for God's sake... And you try to joke about it?
this is a bad mistake on more of a reason than video games. Mogadishu is a war-torn city, the rest of somalia not much better, with people killing each other. This is no joke I've seen the special on the history channel a few years back and It said that once you're old enough to carry a gun in somalia, you do. there were young kids carrying guns bigger than themselves, and banning video games will just cause the violence worse. video games have kept teenagers off the streets and out of dangers way. Maybe I'm wrong about this maybe it'll help but it's just my opinion.
