@MetalMario: You think that now, but wait until you actually get one of those other machines. You'll probably be surprised with how much time you're spending with them while your Wii just sits there. Not because it's a bad system at all...in fact, I can't really explain why it happens; it just does. Well...it did to me, anyway. I (partially) blame Trophies/Achievements. So...addictive...

I own a 360 and I don't play it nearly as much as the Wii. There are many great things to say about 360 but in the long run, I enjoy Wii titles the most. As for achievements, I'm really not that much of a competitive player. Plus, if I want to try for the same achievement during a second playthrough, there won't be anything informing me I unlocked it a second time making trying to up my skills a bit pointless so it's sort of moot to me. When it comes to wanting to play a wide variety of titles the Wii is more fun for me.

@brandonbwii: What's being a "competitive player" got to do with Trophies/Achievements? I just earn them because I'm an obsessive completionist.

Anyway, I didn't say EVERYBODY would wind up with my gameplay habits. I was simply saying that I had the same expectations as MetalMario, but it didn't turn out that way after all.
