Hmm, that would be a problem. Maybe naming it the "Last Generations Challenge". But even that would cause problems. Because the 3DS would effectively make the DS Last Generation. Maybe just naming it the "Before 2005 Challenge" (start of seventh generation). Because that would also include older PC games.

It's really a difficult one. Need to really think this through.

I was planning on doing that next month. My plan was to try and beat my VC games, as I've got a few unfinished. Plus I was planning on buying a couple more too.
Having a real craving for VC games lately. They are so much fun. Well, except for the ones that aren't.

I think probably all you need to do is pick a definition that works for you and lots of people will probably wanna do it too. It's just that calling it "retro" might cause some confusion. The challenge itself sounds pretty great.

Agree completely! I have a long list of VC games that I want to get and it would be fun if there was a challenge for them.

Since I have a couple of hours to finish the finale game for the Backlag Challenge.

Tomorrow I will start a Last Gens Backlag Challenge.
From March 1st 2011. Beat 10 unfinished games within two months.

Some rules to define Last Gen (and I hope everyone can agree with).

• Of course all older consoles and handheld games from before the sixth generation.
• VC and similair service on other consoles or handhelds are of course allowed.
• Compilations of older games on newer consoles or handhelds are allowed (like Super Mario All-Stars - 25th Anniversary Edition for example).
• Since the 3DS is about to be released but the DS is still going at the moment, it's only fair that only Gameboy Advance games count (and older handheld games of course).
• Every Xbox and Gamecube game since those consoles were discontinued.
• Since the PS2 is still supported. No PS2 games from after November 2006 for Japan and America and after March for the PAL regions (release of the PS3).
• For PC games let's stop at 2007. Since the Gamecube went on a year longer then the Xbox. So no PC games from after 2007.

If you already started on a game that fits the challenge, you can use it.

Yeah, it's the same thing every now and then. It goes down for a few minutes and then comes back up. It's really nothing to worry about

Hey, for those of you who have 3DSs, do you consider Face Raiders and the AR Games to be games to put on you list?

I'm not sure yet. I haven't finished all of the levels and bought all of the extra content so I really don't know yet.

What I meant was, do you add them as individual games, like you would for something like Geometry Wars or SMG?

That's what I'm not sure about. If those are even full fledged games.

And what to think about StreetPass Quest?

Can't you just make a compilation on there called "Nintendo 3DS" or whatever you want and add all the games in it to that? And null the ones that you feel aren't really that much of a game? I don't have a 3DS yet, but that's what I was thinking about doing when I do get one.
