Backloggery is awesome! I don't know why, but I find myself checking my backloggery several times an hour, as if something about it is going to change. Clearly, no games are being beaten this way.

Well I'm yet to fully fill mine in...
In fact to be honest, I have hundreds of games I'm yet to add to my Backloggery, but if you're interested in seeing my progress in about the ten or so games I could think of off the top of my head when I started filling it in, my username is the same as on here, ie tylero09
I promise I'll update it more at some point
maybe

Just updated it with: Legendary Starfy (had it for almost a month) Soul Calibur II (GC) and Klonoa (Wii) Got the latter 2 on sunday. Both are very good.

I'm keeping it going; even updating the Now Playing with the "beatable" games in my lists that I have yet to beat (I don't count arcade games that have endings because I'm not fussed about seeing the endings to them, just having the occasional play).

Backloggery makes me feel guilty about all the games I haven't beaten. It hasn't had much of an effect though. I'm always thinking about the games I haven't got as much as the ones that I have!

I'm quite happy I found the backloggery because I don't think I'd be able to organise a backlog otherwise.

I've recently beaten Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon (truly a great ending), Super Mario Sunshine (I was so close before I polished it off) and Shining Force II (truly a baffling ending).

I've got some big games ahead of me including Final Fantasy IX and Chrono Trigger DS, so it looks like it will be a fun couple of months.

And once I've completed/beaten a significant number, I'll probably get some cheap PSone games I've promised myself.

I've got a question about the backloggery.
Do I put in all the games I've ever played or the ones I consider to be mine.
I've borrowed games and bought games for others (either my own kids or family members in the past) which I've played through to some extent. I wouldn't really class these as MY backloggery.
Like I now have about 28 Wii games but 7 are the kids, 8 are the wifeys, 8 I class as family games, 5 mine so I'll probably put mine and the family ones down. Do you agree?
If you want to check my backloggery so far just click on the link in my signature. It may take a while to complete.

@Chungil V: Yeah, that sounds about right. Don't list your kids' games if you aren't going to play them at all, and the same for the wife. Just listing games you personally play makes sense.
Listing every game you've ever played is by no means necessary. In fact, the site states its goal as helping you play through the games you currently own. They only added the ability to list previously owned/borrowed/other titles when requested. I would advise against listing games you've played before but never beat, don't own, and will probably never play again. Those titles just hurt your percentages needlessly. Feel free to list games you used to own but finished and sold, though. I do, at least for PS3 and 360 games where Trophies/Achievements make it easy to remember I've played them.

that site is pretty cool actually. The only thing that annoys me a bit is what beaten, completed and mastered are. For Super Mario Galaxy for instance would "finishing the story" be beaten, getting 120 completed and getting 120 with luigi mastered? or would the 120 with Luigi be completed and mastered be something further than that? Have I completed Mario Kart DS if I have a star rating or do I need a 3 star rating to complete it? Do I need to collect all the Pokemon in Pokemon to claim I have completed it?

nvm I had a look at the FAQs and it seems to make sense.

Beaten: Finished and saw the credits
Completed: Finished every task the game presented
Master Run: Did something beyond the game challenge

You all can add me - My username's basically the same: TokenGirl. It's pretty sad how many games I've never beaten. Many of them are Genesis titles I still have from when I was a kid, and I'm not sure if I'll ever play them again. Also, you can tell that I was noticeably absent during the GC era (college, the GC was at home).

It's also sort of sad, because I looked through and found all these GB games I didn't even know we had and never played. I should have brought the GBA too with my DSi. Maybe some of them will come out on DSi one day? I only added a few of them, but I know there's more that are sitting around, waiting to be played.

I am way too lazy to think of something clever.

Well I did promise I'd start filling it with my back-catalogue, and I've now actually started to do so
I use it more to keep track of what games I own (literally as a back-catalogue) rather than updating it regularly to say what I'm playing, though I try to do that sometimes too
Oh, and again, my username's the same as seen here, so anyone feel free to add me

EDIT: Currently doing a major addition of my games lol

@skywake: Note, however, that there was a bit more to the instructions than you said. Completed really only requires you to do whatever is necessary to unlock everything, which isn't necessarily triple-stars. For example: PixelJunk Monsters (a Tower Defense type game for those who don't know). You can unlock and beat every level well past "beaten" status, and that's "completed" status. But you probably don't have a rainbow on every level yet (no monsters got through). If you did, that could be "mastered," because that would be damn near impossible, and a true sign of mastery indeed!

In the end, there's some room for interpretation. Follow their guidelines and use your best judgment. For example of that: I usually ignore the bit about winning on the highest difficulty level (but not always...my methods are hard to describe, so I won't try). I list Galaxy as "beaten" because I haven't finished Luigi mode yet, even though I got a full 120 with Mario.

there are a lot of PC games that I have played that aren't in there. Mostly because most of the time I only played "borrowed" copies for mutiplayer. I have logged a lot of hours in C&C Zero Hour for instance but only in skirmish and most of the time at LANs when said game was popular.

Oh, and people who gave sonic chronicles less than 3 stars, expect to be the victim of the SonicMaster Sonic Chronicles Rant!

I forget if I rated Sonic Chronicles at all yet...I haven't really played it very much. I liked what I did play, though. Just one of those things, I guess.
