Topic: Awkward moment alert!

Okay so yesterday I was sitting around doing whatever it is I was doing, right? I get a call on my phone, and pick it up. I say "Hello" and to my surprise the guy started speaking Spanish in my ear! I know almost NO Spanish whatsoever, (even though I'm taking a class,) so after a few sentences I just hung up. (Awkward................) Unfortunately he kept calling back until I added him to my reject list. Any awkward moments you care to share?

I once saw a multi-million dollar deal fall through because the salesman made a bad joke. This was back in 2000 or so when the Russian submarine, the Kursk, went missing and the whole world was awaiting news of the crew's fate.

The meeting room was crowded and stuffy because the air condition system wasn't working right, and the sales rep says "Jeez, I feel like a Russian submariner." The joke fell flat on its face. The president of the company and the customer were both ex-US Navy submarine sailors. Oooops!

That could give you emotional distress!

When on a date with what was supposed to be a religious woman. Long story short turned out she was married. It was a fairly awkward for me
Now all these years later and I could write a 500 page book of boring you all to death with all my awkward moments, but I will stop here.

Yeah, let's go easy. But I hear you. Maybe someday I'll write that book too.

A book of awkward moments would be quite an interesting read, no?

Or you could make a calendar and each day you read about an awkward moment. I'm sure people would buy it.

@Qwikman: Yeah, like a word-a-day calendar (and yes, I do own one) but for awkward moments. "Awkward-moment-a-day calendar" sounds kinda dumb though..
