I LOVE Nintendo's hardware and software the most,but I enjoy software on non-Nintendo platforrms also. I have 4 non-Nintendo platforms,so I'm not a Nintendo fanboy.
For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday. [url=http://www.backloggery.com/jumpmad]Unive...
Yeah, I'm absolutely a Nintendo fanboy in the purest sense of the term. I just can't really stand products on Sony or Microsoft machines. For instance, only 2-3 games on PSP interest me, like 1 game on PS3 interests me, and there is literally not 1 game on 360 that I want to play. I am just really a sucker for Nintendo's products, especially because anything that rolls out of Nintendo's doors tends to have obscene amounts of polish on it. Also, nothing makes me more mad than a 360/PS3 nut that plays the "Nintendo is for kids" card and claim the Wii has no hardcore titles on it. And I can speak badly about competitor hardware because I own literally every system and can say from experience they just don't ever measure up to Nintendo.
Ugh, they're the worst of the console fanboys. There are only two things in this world that are worse than Ninty fanboys.
Yep, Sony and Microsoft fanboys. seriously though, I believe Nintendo fanboys are the least annoying out of the 3. I've met many people from all 3 camps and can't really stand to be in the same room talking about video games with a 360/PS3 fanboy for very long. If I had to pick the most annoying I would say 360 fanboys for sure. They just get under my skin.
I used to be an extreme Nintendo fanboy. If someone made mention of being a fan of a non-Nintendo console, they were met with scoffs and derisive comments, but I'd been known to work up a good froth talking to an opposing fanboy. I eventually came to the realization, however, that while I love Nintendo, what I really love are video games in general and that by being such a narrow fanboy I was doing more of a disservice to myself. I now own all three home consoles and am happy with all of them, and to tell you the truth, I terribly regret having missed out on the Playstation on most of the PS2.
I guess i would still consider myself a Nintendo fanboy, though. I still have a special love for Nintendo's games that stems partly from my appreciation for their particular game design philosophy, but mostly from a deep-rooted sense of nostalgia. Nintendo pretty much encapsulates my childhood, and every time I play one of their games I feel a little like I'm revisiting the few happy moments from days gone by.
grenworthshero, I'm going to have to contest your generalizing of the Xbox 360's library as being just FPS games. Without question the 360 has more of it's fare share of derivative FPS schlock, but that's not all the system has to offer. Over the past three years I have played my 360 at least as much as my Wii and I'm pretty sure I have more FPS games on Wii than 360. Infact, the one 360 FPS I still play from time to time is the XBLA port of Perfect Dark. to say the 360 library is just FPS games is like saying the Wii just has lame mini-game collection shovel-ware.
Nintendo fanboys aren't too bad. M$ fanboys are agressive and call people 'casual n00bs' all the time. They're pretty bad. Also, they go on and on about Halo all the time, and you have to pretend to understand and care what they're saying. Sony fanboys can't admit it when something Sony makes is crap. And don't get me started on PC fanboys...

While i would agree with you there completely, I'm not not confident that my higher opinion of Nintendo fanboys is not biased by my being one.

On the one hand, my current console collection consists completely (hell yeah unplanned alliteration) of Nintendo devices, and I have near to no knowledge of what's coming out/what's good and bad on the other consoles (asides an occasional stealth lurk on Movemodo). But that's purely situational, and I'd totally buy a 360/PS3 if I could afford one.
