No. If Nintendo screws up, it's up to us to tell them that they screwed up and criticize them so that things like that never happen again. People don't know what being harsh is and aren't used to criticism. It's time to change this and what better time than now.

Critism is one thing, tweeting death notes, boycotts, petitions, and threatening the company by saying you're leaving is another.. That's not critism, that's just immature and overreacting.

This. People are treating one poor Direct like it's the end of the world.

True, but don't ignore valid criticism because some people are doing these crazy things. Nintendo's E3 presentation was incredibly poor.

It was the worst because Nintendo didn't meet everyone's impossible expectations. The only way people would have been satisfied with it as I was would be if Nintendo released Zelda U tomorrow, put Mother 3 on the eShop with 3DS/Wii U cross-buy, got all of the third parties back (along with Halo 5 and Uncharted 4), and announced Metroid Prime 4 in a Wii U Slim bundle.

Exaggerating much?

We are not being too harsh on Nintendo. They had an awful Digital Event where they spat on the faces of Metroid and AC fans who have patiently waited for the next proper iterations of the beloved franchises. It sucked for Wii U owners as well. It basically confirmed that next year the NX will release.

1. Nobody said you HAD to buy the metroid prime spinoff game. It's hardly a spat to the face when it's completely the buyer's choice.. (and the fact we don't even have the game to justify anything we say about it.) Likewise, nobody said you had to buy the AC game or it's amiibos.
Not to mention, the existence of either of these games have no influence on having no new metroid or AC games incoming anyway.. they can easily be ignored.
2. The NX won't be released next year, usually it takes about a year of the hardware's ignitial reveal and title lineup before the console is publicly released. We may get it in 2017, but I highly doubt 2016 is the NX's time to shine.. nintendo may even atempt to recover the wii u first, since iwata has stated in the past they won't show their next console until the wii u has satisfied fans. (not that is has yet.)
