So I'm currently listening to a debate on the radio about the pro's and con's of playing video games. This is in response to a report that has just come out of the US which suggests the average age of gamers is 35! source
I'm on the fence to be honest. I love playing games and don't think they are bad for me, but I'm not entirely sure they are good for me. What about you, do you think video games are bad for us? And if so, how?
btw, I type this with a sore neck from too much Flipnote
My son is 8 years old, some of his budies play 18+ games. They are clearly influenced by those hardgore games. Will they be violent getting older, don´t know. Some of their values surely will be disturbed.
Of course. If too much of air is pumped in to the lungs then it will result in the over distention of the lungs resulting in ventilator-induced lung injury.
No they aren't bad unless used in excess, as with anything, there were some other topics discussing this and i researched a bit on the net to find out more stuff, if u google it there are tons of arguments for both sides
EDIT The better question i guess is how much is enough to be considered excess, and that, i do not know
There are much worse things you can do. Its a hobby, maybe not as rewarding as others but as long as some of those games (GTA, for example) dont influence you, and you dont put it before more important things such as work or school. It shoudnt stop you from being active, and it should remain a hobby, in your free time. As long as they dont interfere with your life, they are fine. Again, there are worst things to do in your free time....stealing, drugs and alcohol, pirating, gambling...
